I am regretting not investing in stocks ever since but still grateful i kept money in the money market. With about $200k maturing soon, i plan investing in the stock market. What stocks should I look into as a newbie to safely grow my money?

Thats when you hire someone to manage your money. You need a (CFP) straight up! personally, I would invest in ETF's and also love investing in individual stocks.

I took charge of my portfolio but faced losses in 2022. Realizing the need for a change, I sought advice from a fiduciary advisor. Through restructuring and diversification with dividend stocks, ETFs, Mutual funds, and REITs, my $1.2M portfolio surged, yielding an annualized gain of 128%.

Monica Mary Strigle’ is the licensed advisor I use. Just research the name. You’d find necessary details to work with a correspondence to set up an appointment.

The irony of this is if people buy the stocks after these guys buy then these guys are always going to have winners because the price will go up when everyone follows them. Then they sell first because of course everyone "follows" them. Guaranteed winner every time.

If you actually look at the stock you’ll see it moves up and down, learn when to buy and sell. The video just said how Netflix lost an investor 400mil. They aren’t invincible. Stop being scared and learn to play the game. Or you can keep losing money by tucking it under your mattress or keeping it in your boa checking account

      Hah. Conspiracy crazy much?
These guys lose plenty of money on about half their portfolio.
Buffett’s darlings of oxy and chevron are down. He lost big on Kraft Heinz.
I’m an idiot, and even I recognized coal companies were way undervalued. Before Monish.

I have read in a number articles that AI automated trading bots are controlling how very large sums of money are moving in and out of stocks on a daily basis, I believe that they are the main reason for all the volatility, and price swings..

Following the smart money isn't always the best choice. Even those guys lose money. The difference is that they can afford to lose, not to mention they all use options trading to hedge their investments, so when they lose, it's usually small money. Average retail investors like me, want to buy and hold, we don't want to deal with options trading. So following the money is not the best investment advice, unless you learn about why they are buying, and how their investments are structured. Also understand the power that hedge funds have over stock prices. Short sellers often write a bad report on a company to try and make the price drop, so they can clean up on their options trade. It hapend to ABR last year. the stock went from 15.00 a share, down to 10.00 in a month. All from a short seller report that over exaggerated, and mislead investors deliberately.

Per the data I see, GOOG never hit a PE of 15. The closest was 16.5 on 2022-11-03, that's still not 15. Either my data is wrong, or this video is wrong. If this part of the video is wrong, what other parts of the video are wrong?

You are missing out on the best investor of the past like 10 years. Nancy Pelosi. She recently started a position in Palo Alto Networks. So it seems like a good investment to look into.

    • @johnclough2561
      @johnclough2561 Місяць тому

For all we know, her investment strategy could be in options strading. which means she may be shorting stocks like palo alto, or at least writing call or put options to hedge her bets. I don't know for sure, and don't forget, she can afford to lose, we can't

I think Warrior is not a good investment and here's why. For the longest time the only way to make virgin steel was using coal fired blast furnaces to do so (burning coke {my industry}). Recent research and testing has made it possible to convert existing blast furnaces into hydrogen fired furnaces making steel far cleaner and in time cheaper that using coke (the only use for metallurgical coal). I thought the steel industry would be slow to implement this change but apparently the cost and means of doing so are not that expensive or difficult. Cleveland Cliffs is already converting some of their coal fired blast furnaces into hydrogen fired rendering companies like my employer obsolete when not if the trend continues. In the near term I imagine the western world will adopt this practice of converting to hydrogen as steel making accounts for 20% of global carbon emissions and steel companies can get large government subsidies to convert to hydrogen. The reason Warrior is so cheap is because it doesn't have a future and that is no reason to invest in the company. You can buy it for a trade in the near term as the cyclical steel industry ebbs and flows overtime but don't hold onto it for too long.

And for my last thought, the markets are rigged against average investors, many stock prices are controlled by investors with deep pockets, and they are very good at keeping a stock price down when they want to, or playing the old pump and dump scheme.

Truthfully, I find this video useless, or offensive . It’s a video on the history of how people made money buying stock. These people are already invested, and you will be helping them if you purchase. One of the ways to buy stock is to research companies before the IPO, Something this video does not stress, it’s a risk, a gamble when you purchase stock. There is no easy method.

I disagree, the video is not useless and certainly not offensive. What better way to find great ideas than looking to great investors who have done a lot of work and have sufficient conviction to put their money where their mouth is. And thanks to the Investor Center team for curating this list and explaining it to us!
