Okay, first, you need to tilt the heater flat so the water completely saturates all of the heating elements, it is the water being in contact with the contents of the each element that causes the heating reaction and that reaction occurs much slower and with less ferocity (or not at all) if the only way the elements at the top have to get water is from the steam coming off the water being heated by the one element at the bottom that is wet. Why did it start to work? The salt may have helped but mostly it was because when you took it out you lay it flat so the water soaked all the elements.
Second, you should put the second item you want heated on the heating element side of the FRH not the same side as the pouch you put in it. It is the heating element that gets hot and it is not going to transfer that heat well through another food item to the second item you put in. It will, however, heat up a second item that you place in contact with the heating element. Originally the orientation was backward but when you took the FRH out and manipulated it so it would work you accidentally put it back in the sleeve in the correct orientation, lucky you - hot pizza.

I've eaten that ration? The pizza not that good? But the rest of the ration is pretty good. Use part of the cookie in the blueberry Cherry cobbler? Excellent.
Heat up the cheese as well next time, that’s what I did and it makes a difference.
That pizza looks pretty good to me. It seems a bit small though. How many calories is this meal? Oh, jalapeno cheese spread on Italian bread. I'd have to squirt a bit of that on the pizza.
It is quite small! I believe most of the calories come from everything else in the meal. If I recall correctly there is about 1200 calories in this meal - only about 280 come from the pizza slice itself.
And yes I wish I had saved some cheese for the pizza!

Hi, I'm sorry you feel that way. I see various other people try it in different ways - not just as intended, again apologies that this has upset you I just try to shake things up.
Also I talk as it is a review and I try to style my commentary like the viewer is actually with me not just watching behind a screen. I understand that is not for everyone though, I have heard from many others that they do like this.
