- Welcome to my Mods & Addons series of videos. In this short video I showcase the Avro Lancaster that is a payware for FSX and ported to MSFS2020 myself using the Legacy Importer. This is a short take off and flight over Sydney Australia with the addon of Sydney Cityscape and Sydney International Airport from Orbx including a great model of Sydney Harbour Bridge and spectacular city skyline. Love the avro Lancaster and also the Shackleton so much better than those cessnas and boeings (yawn)
yeah it is awesome, I still take it out but the recent updates have meant I have to remove all the buttons press from inside the aircraft. Lets hope the devs update this for MSFS native. I would buy it again if they did.

Yeah I have not seen one for x-plane, maybe you get lucky when XP12 comes out someone will develop one for that version!
Is anyone working on a native fs2020 version of this plane? Would be really nice to have a few ww2 classics.

There is one in the works for MSFS2020 native. I have heard it is not too far away too.

No it is a FSX conversion payware file but I have heard there is a native MSFS one in the works so maybe that one some day.

I got it but the engines don't seem to turn on from either a ramp or runway? What might I have missed in the converting stage?
when you import this model do not import and of the panel in the Legacy Importer as it conflicts. The gauges come over already anyway I think. Also do not use full import mode as that interferes too. After the latest MSFS patch this aircraft no longer works correctly and will need a fix. Someone on my discord has posted how to do that in the aircraft fixes channel 2nd of June.

As I already have the Lancaster of Just Flight, but in Prepar3D I also would like very much to have this one in MSFS. Please inform me where I can download the package?
I put the link to the file in the description from where I bought mine. It is a FSX version and I have converted it to MSFS, link also to a tutorial video I did that shows how to convert it. Also after sim update 5 we now need to remove all the mouse cickable points in the cockpit. I have instructions for that step on my Discord under aircraft fixes

I am afraid I do not have enough skills to fix things in Discord. I would like very much to get a download-link when your updates have been applied. I think it is worth waiting for it. I always enjoied flying the Lancaster, dating back from the Plane Design period. also have the First Class Simulation Lancasters. FCS and JF -verssions all working fine in Prepar3D V5.3. But now I am gradually moving over to MSFS, especially because of its scenery as I like to fly VFR with special interest for warbirds.

Does this still run on your MSFS after recent updates from Asobo?
OK I had to put mine back in the sim since I had it out for new PC build, YES it still works the same as in this video. There have been changed though that were needed after SU7 and I show in my guide #5 how to import aircraft now to overcome the interior clickables.
@@BrettPlays I did put a post in your discord, but still having issues in getting it to run. The engines won’t start for me.
I’m not very technical unfortunately! I’ve managed to convert aircraft over, but for some reason just can’t get the engines running. Props are feathered as well
I put my .air file for you to test and see if that works as there was at least one Sim Update that ruined it
@@BrettPlays it won’t let me get the file. Just says ‘failed to open’.

@@adhollis don't open it, just download and place it in the b1 Lancaster, you can then also copy it and rename it bII and BIII and so on to match the other versions. i added a zipped version, see if you can get that

There is one in the works but this one was an FSX conversion
