This Bible story serves as a warning against drifting deeper into wickedness and the need to repent of our sins and turn to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. It also serves to warn us that God's patience with wicked people has a limit. The people of Sodom and Gomorrah learned that lesson too late and came under the dreadful wrath and just punishment from God for their utter wickedness. Thank you for this timely message because it is needed today.

Imagine getting all stoked up to force yourselves on the strangers, trying to force your way into a house to do so, bringing your family along with you to do so in a giant mob with all your neighbors, all of you being struck blind, yet still remains, milling around all night trying to find your way in to do the deed. This was not addressed in this video. As a member of the LGBT community, I’m very comfortable with the story of Sodom and Gomorrah. The only thing that the text says regarding homosexuality was about same-sex rape. It was not because the city had monogamous couples sex, loving relationships. And I absolutely stand 100% against same-sex rape and I know God does too. Anybody that thinks this has to do with what we call marriage quality, where two people give themselves to each other is like the scribes and Pharisees. God is moving amongst his true remnant left here on earth. We are learning that a few select men have tried to use passages to enslave people and to condemn them using the Bible as a weapon.

Abraham was pleading on behalf of his nephew, Lot, when He asked God if He would refrain from destroying the 2 cities if there were enough righteous people in them. God has never, and He will never, destroy the righteous along with the wicked, because it goes against His holy and just nature to do such a thing. Throughout scripture, we see God removing the righteous BEFORE His judgement comes, or He preserves the righteous in the midst of His judgment, like He did with the children of lsraeI when He brought the 10 plagues upon Egypt and. With Noah and his 7 family members, God removed them from the earth by sealing them in the ark, and in the destruction of those 2 wicked cities, God sent His angels to make Lot and his family leave before His judgement came down. Abraham wasn’t pleading on behalf of people he didn’t know. Also, the One to whom Abraham was pleading for mercy for Lot, whom he worshipped and called “LORD”, and “Judge of the whole earth”, was Jesus Christ before His incarnation. Jesus is the bodily form of YHVH. Jesus is throughout the OT wherever God is visibly on the earth, and because Jesus, the Father, and the Holy Spirit all share the same divine nature, they are each equally God, as Jesus says those who have seen Him have seen the Father. I have no clue where people get the notion that Jesus Christ never claimed to be God in the flesh, especially since the Jews tried to stone Him in John 8 and John 10 FOR JESUS CLAIMING TO BE GOD. They certainly understood who Christ was saying He is when He made Himself equal to the Father in John 10, saying “My Father and I are ONE”, and in John 8 when Jesus says He is the I AM who Abraham rejoiced to see in his day, the same I AM who gave Moses the Law in Exodus 3, and said “Tell the children of lsraeI that I AM has sent you unto them”. Jesus is God, and all who deny this have denied the Father also. What you do to Christ, you have done to the Father as well.

@@willliamstjohn7053, hi William, I didn’t say the righteous don’t suffer, as we see the apostles enduring suffering, and scripture says all who desire to live godly will suffer for the sake of righteousness, but it’s not God who is making them suffer, as suffering is part of the human experience due to the effect of sín on the world. I said that God never pours HIS WRÀTH on the righteous, but only on the wicked. There’s a big difference between the normal sufferings that all humans experience in life, the tribulations that Jesus says we will endure in this world, and God’s wràth. Normal human sufferings, are ultimately trials of life that make our faith in Christ stronger, as we see Him bring us through them, or those trials can turn people further away from God when they blame their suffering on God. I don’t believe that just because I am a believer in Christ that I will not face trials in life, but rather, I know that because I believe in God and I want to live in a way that glorifies Him, I am going to endure more trials than someone who lives in accordance with the unrighteous ways of the world. Jesus says I will be despised for His name’s sake, because the world first hàted Him. If I was of the world, the world would love me, because the world loves its own, but because I have been spiritually reborn, born of God, and I live for God, and uphold the truth of His Word, I am of God, and not of the world, and the world hatès God and His people.

Wonderful prayer. We need to have GOD on the front burner of our minds every second and I mean it literally. Every second. When we are faced with decisions we must consult GOD first and wait for an answer. He WILL answer if you ask in Jesus' Name and really love Him deeply. He'll give you the answer. It may not be the answer you expect or want but it must be followed and respected. He'll turn bad things for your good. When you really get to know Him by reading the Bible and keeping His Commands it's a love sort of like a child. It's hard to explain. It's strong and sometimes hurts because this world is so contrary to Him and His righteous ways. It can hurt badly but it is what it is. This age will end and He promises to usher in a new age that will never end and the gates of hell will not prevail against it and opposition will never rise again.
The experience that the 2 angels endured in Sodom is the same experience I had while promoting my music in the streets of Vegas. I've been met with so much hostility from strangers when the only thing I was trying to accomplish is musical recognition. I had good intentions but was shunned by the hateful and the wicked. Lord God, have mercy on us all. Morality has definitely declined.

Justice depends on how God knit you and your place in his hierarchy. As a missionary to HAITI the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere I mention Ezekiel 16; 49-50 often specially how America really is being described here today . Abudence of food and not caring for the poor. Yes , homosexual activity was also mentioned which is very active with the LGBTQ community. Also important was when Jesus said: Remember lots wife. I believe the reason he said that was a warning for many Christians today who believe in Jesus but are still attached to this world. Lots wife also left Sodom but looked back cause she missed Sodom. Lot in Luke 17 is an example for us today as one who is taken away like in the Rapture before God destroys Sodom ,USA. 2Peter 2:6 and Jude 7 makes that clear that this is an example what is to happen today

I've always had compassion for the poor even being among them myself as I never had much money and what little I get I'd even give out of my need. Besides the moral of this story Jesus always taught about how we treat the poor. He said that how we treat the least of these is how we treat Him. So imagine the judgment that awaits the wolves in sheep's clothing who live off of the poor like a bunch of parasites. Sodom is in most of the church system.

I think Lot himself was ultimately responsible for his daughters' horrific actions in the cave. Yes, living in Sodom had a negative effect on the entire family.
