One of my favourite character traits I've seen on a character in d&d was my friends dragonborn sorcerer who was voiced in a deep southern accent (think red dead redemption type deal but worse) but only and exclusively when bartering, any other time he had a British accent a fact which was acknowledged and a cause of worry and concern from npcs.
no, you have to sing the filk. "Country gnomes, take my bones, to the place i belong. West of badlands, dwarven mama, take me home, country gnomes...,"
I like how the D&D classes about your childhood ends at Paladin. So I guess all the Rangers, Rogues, Sorcerer’s, Warlocks and Wizards are well adjusted
6:36 Perfect monster for this is the Banshee. They're only like a CR 2 monster, but all it takes is a few failed saving throws for your party to start dropping like flies.
The net is based on a Roman gladiatorial specialization. It was only used by specialists, and rarely if ever in field combat, just particularly brutal specialists in bloodsport tangling up other gladiators to be punished.
Nets have one use: dropping on people and then tying them up. Only use was when the party kidnaped a poor goblin raider to feed to a shantak ( picture a dragon but it has the face of the stranger things demigorgon and it comes from space) the thing wouldn’t take dead bodies so they needed a living one….
So Quincy is some kind of god of adventurers, yeah? No fucking way a random barkeep routinely gives away THAT many quests, even if he's any number of groups' middle man, or has all these connections but just does the books, while having teleporters back to his place.
In a previous tiktok, Quincy is shown to be taking multiple forms of payment, including bottle caps from Fallout. I'm guessing Quincy's Tavern is a dimensional waypoint between multiple adventure realities.
I refuse to participate in the endless scrolling of actual Tiktoks only to look up and find that I've wasted hours. I wast my time in very targeted ways.
@@SpookyRumi Thank you. I don't have TikTok, or even a phone, really, but I love Quincy's Tavern's and TooHardTheBard's content, so I'm glad that they can be here.
Finally checked out the dice site! You’ve got a nice little collection. Nothing quite stood out for the next character I’ll be playing, but that’s alright.
to work around the net problem i use "prepared nets" they are nets that take up to an hour each you roll into a prepared state that can then be used as ammo for a sling... now you get to use nets with the range of a sling and don't get disadvantage until you'd get disadvantage with slings... if you don't want players to just spam them then have it similar to javelins in that you can only have so many in an sling ammo bag... now they can spend some of the time per rest preparing their nets... kobold and goblin parties can now be the little shits they were always meant to be...
"I'm sorry, behead *again*? Nevermind, I have a problem." Invited inside "so... what's the matter?" "So you see, funny you mentioned beheadings. I may be on the run from the law and need you to hide me."
6:50. Sure, incapacitating your players more makes it harder for them to beat your monsters, but it's the least fun part of combat for them, because you are pointing at them and saying, no, you don't get a turn. I'd recommend having monsters that limit a player's abilities - a condition that only allows them to use 1 of their action, movement or bonus action, a sluggish condition that limits them to only 1 attack in a round - so make it count. As two examples
Dnd TikTok’ers ranting about nets being bad… Me, having watched D&D Optimized, “sure sure, so you have no problems with me making an optimized character for your campaign if I’m using nets and needles (1d4dmg) right?”.

That's absolutely hilarious. I need to write that down.
The country roads kingsman scene with the zealot barb had me smiling. Loved it.
Now the real question, were they a reborn?
Alright, the next campaign I'm in I'm going to be a barbarian who sings west Virginia while doing something badass.

7:16 reminded me of an idea for a warlock who's patron is their sugardaddy and anytime they need money or powers they just calle him up and ask lol

The first clip makes me think that elf has had only meat for a week

More amazingly funny videos! I don't use tiktok so this is a nice way to see the dnd content from there.

This is exactly why I do it :) I scroll for hours so that you don't have to, glad you like it!

"You know animals aren't your only friends now, right?"
Excuse me, ma'am? I did not come here to get attacked so openly. How dare-! 😭
always the best from Spooky, perfect for a sick day
I actually screamed yes when he said that it was the 100th and now faction time, literally one of the best parts of the game

anyone else like responding to Quincy in his videos? it's just so fun to play a long with him and act out your wildest dreams
You are back :D
1:56 I play a cleric... She's right.
Yep 😝😂

WAIT Gortholax?! As in, Gortholax from Dimension 20?!
I wonder what the Wizards trauma is?... Besides the obvious of dying easily, lol.
Being a former wonder child who has burn out by the time they get to college
@@daniellins4114 Haha, yeah that makes sense, lol.
@@daniellins4114 well, that explains why I'm playing a wizard

looking for the "you found their number on the back of a cereal box" one
nets are amazing, fight me
2:34 sss...hut up ok I'm working on it
I’m glad my main class of warlock has no childhood hang ups associated with it…
Net with an optimal range of 5ft up to 15, disadvantage beyond 5ft...my solution, use it as a melee weapon! within optimal range. just don't throw it-
The past trauma accusations for the Paladin are…. Irritatingly accurate, leave me alone.
Dnd !!!

Dnd TikTok’ers ranting about nets being bad… Me, having watched D&D Optimized, “sure sure, so you have no problems with me making an optimized character for your campaign if I’m using nets and needles (1d4dmg) right?”.
2:38 taht aint How u hold a sword No matter How cool reverse grip is it is a death wish to fight with it
What was the trauma for fighters? I couldn’t make it out.
I think it was "from being mid" which I think means middle of the road, not exceptionally good or bad just there.
9:18 I really want to know more about this, to be honest.
5:36 Flip it and then ur azog the defiler
Am i seeing double or has Quincy a navigavia note book!?
The rant about nets being bad in 5e feels slightly unnecessary. Who even uses nets anyway?
Isn't that the point? They're so useless no one even thinks about using them
