Yes, don't choose lossless compressed raw, it has a bug where the header size is written wrong under certain burst shooting conditions. Anyone who uses DxO won't be able to open about 10-20% of their photos, which is a massive headache
Natural live View just lowers the contrast and displays a little more dynamic range. If you have you settings to dark you screen will still be dark though. If you turn of exposure preview the display shows what the camera thinks is a correct exposure every time regardless of your settings.
Thanks for posting this! So anoying you can't map ISO to the front or real dial. Not sure what they're thinking with this. The whole Aperture Ring that Fuji was known and pioneered really goes out the window. Really hoping this will fix with a firmware update as this would severly cripple workflow in the field IMO.
Amazing video! Learned allot. But I got a question. When in stills mode and I press the small movie record button next to the shutter button the video that get recorded is completely different the the setup on movie mode. How do I get that to be the same ?
Interesting. I haven’t had that happen yet. Basically what I’ve been doing is going into video mode, setting my shutter, iso and everything else and then I go back to photo. When I hit the record button all of the settings were where I left them when I was in video mode. Or so I thought.
Hello John, thank you for your wonderful videos. I am looking at picking up the X-S10 for portraits and events (weddings) as against used XT3 cause I am coming from canon and used to the PASM approach and the camera form. It is also quite expensive to switch system over here so doing it slow. I will be using a fringer pro with my Canon lenses. Is the camera AF okay enough to use for events? (I know it is great on high iso setting) I have been checking online to find someone shooting a wedding with it. Not seen. Thank you.
Without going into why both exist, if you are unsure, use Video. “Full” would be used when shooting F-Log or F-Log 2. Then in your color grading software, you can tell it how to interpret the data. It’s not used for quick turnaround video.
@@jbivphotography This would be a very useful feature for them to add, especially with the button layout they have now. Do you think it's possible via firmware updates?
Got any additional settings you usually set up?

I buy one today!!!🎉 thanks a lot hugs from Portugal
Is it possible to assign the ISO control to the rear or front wheel? Many thanks. Is absolutely exhausting changing ISO through menu.
When you press the record button, how can you make it record Flog2? I didn't sewe that in the settings under the camera icon? Please help
Super helpful to so many people John. Great work!
Although I can never forgive you for turning off the histogram 😂
😂😂😂 Thanks for always watching. 👍
Thanks for the video. But what's the difference between Pries EXP/WB and the natural live view?

@@jbivphotography Hmmm than I'm probably doing something wrong. I need to investigate this a bit more I see. Thanks for the reply!
Hi John, thank you for your wonderful videos. This video also looks so amazing. Which settings and gears did you use to shoot this one.

Hey John its Jotter pictures from uganda could u upload us a video of how to set a canon 6D for perfect work
Thanks
Possibly. I don't own one so I'd have to get my hands on one. Also, it's been SOOO long since I've shot on Canon.
is there no shadow setting?
That’s under the curve section now. It’s there it just looks a little different.
@@jbivphotography I see! Thank you so much.
Are you using FULL or VIDEO level range in your video settings?

Hi John, can you actually take pictures while recording a video in the X-H2s? I haven't been able to do this yet.
You can’t do both at the same time. But while you’re in picture mode you’re able to record a quick video.
