So safety third in Chicago when? He's not going to fly to the west coast, or they could being back the Zoom call format for one episode, that would be cool. (Maybe Nigel or Bernard would show up if they dumped the dumpster for a few recordings)
Best episode yet! I liked the part at 1:08:35 where Allen looked directly into the camera and stated my full name, address and his plan to slaughter my wife and children!
Jabril's chess fighting game sounds a lot like the game Your Only Move Is Hustle. Great game that kinda flew under the radar. Highly recommend checking it out if you haven't!
Kevins cookbook app sounds like an actual warcrime to put out, and I want it so much. Like I would actually get into chemistry if such a thing existed.
Tim Cain , the original developer of Fallout , Arcanum and to some extend involved in Outer Worlds started a youtube channel called 'Timothy Cain' and he talks about the game industry and his experience there as he literally straight up for more than 40 years was only involved in the game industry. He is very friendly and lives also in California I believe so maybe you can get him on the podcast? I swear watch some of his Videos, that man is so humble and has so interesting storys Im sure its worth your time :)
You can actually have the captcha be whatever you want and it doesn't matter what the user inputs. Recaptcha can determine if you are a bot by your behaviour, not by the answer. That's why some captchas are just a checkbox.
@@stasi0238 Not sure where it originates from, but there's an idea that some people have. They spread peanut butter on their privates, then let a dog lick it off to stimulate them. Very bad. I am 99.99% sure that's what they were hinting at, but it obviously sucks to be the one to say the quiet part out loud and be completely wrong, especially in this case.
40:57 I heated up the area under my desk like 15 degrees by folding proteins during the last cold snap here. My feet were cold so I downloaded the app.
Raid: Shadow Legends is also developed by a game studio that is owned and was created by a casino. That's all I need to know to never want to play it, not that I did before I learned that. I mean, Candy Crush is just Bejeweled but with candy. There's no way it was hard to make. Also, Microtransaction have been in Halo since ODST and Halo 3, just saying. Billiam did a long-form video of him using one of those Monster Scanner toys all around Orlando, Florida. It was a fun watch. All of his stuff is fun watches, though. Also, the generation after Z/Zoomer is already named and has members, gen Alpha.
~24:00 That was the cheaper handheld knockoff of the original (and more chonky) Barcode Battler. And if you want a good technical rabbit hole to get lost down there is actually pretty extensive documentation and reverse engineering done into the game and how it used the barcode format and how the barcode data was used differently based on how you were using it (as a monster vs as an offense/weapon vs a defensive/armor)
In high-school we got full backdoor access to school network. We added halo and emulators. But the true master piece was a mass update to Word where anytime someone went to print it would insert ascii dongs into the text
After 6 months of catching up, I am happy to say that for the first time, on this very special episode, I can write a comment on with out being late to the party
This video was actually really funny. I think Will's app with the peanut butter & dogs would be the most fun so I voted for that. i also found the part at 1:06:39 pretty funny.
I really enjoy the actual puzzles in some of the games I play and i can tell that some thought went into making them 'fun' to clear, if that makes sense. You can see the designs sometimes and it's great.
So you know when you talked about carpeted bathrooms in ball pit episode? Well I recently been in a bathroom that had carpet on a toilet seat cover, literal carpet, not one of those plushy seat covers.
the yt studio clicker sounds the easiest to make and the most fun to play, also a lot of in app purchases could be added, like setup upgrades, editors, etc.
With the whole different answer to repeated questions thing, one of my friends daughter has a mild concussion and had some short term memory loss for a bit, but whenever she would ask a question like whats for finner she would be given a different answer each time
i had an admin account in my school network and one of the tvs on a hallway was linked to the network to screen share and we had way too much fun with it
Kevin's app idea is actually amazing, I've always wondered what chemicals I could build starting from water, salt, vinegar, baking soda, sugar; type chemicals Like, if you have the right atoms and "catalyzers" to make the different types of reactions you could build any molecule that had those atoms in their structure if you didn't care about doing 100 steps and getting a millionth of a percent yield. There's also free biochemicals available, like if you let food rot to get ethanol, you can get ethylene from fruits, methane, hydrogen and hydrogen sulfide from farts, maybe HCl from stomach juice.. You could even mine dirt to unlock some extra atoms too So I imagine one can get pretty fucking far with just household chemicals and stuff How far could primitive technology or even HTME get tho? Neither have made barely any videos on chemicals Imagine "I made piraña using rainwater, vomit and rotten eggs" Such a shame that Nigel isn't on the podcast anymore(let's face it, he ain't never coming out of will's basement)
peanut butter dog is good, but the chemistry game would have the greatest chance for getting myself into trouble and that is much more appealing for me, so I vote for the chemistry game :3
I have had the same cookie clicker for the past 10.5 years. It has been a weird constant over the years, and it will never be complete without cheating at this rate. I did 'cheat' once years back to recover a broken save after a computer crash.
I teach technology to teenagers, and I can attest to them getting less skilled with computers. But they learn super fast, and they are skilled at finding the resources they need online, which is a skill that transfers from phones to computers easily.
I really hope you do opensauce again next year.Im the person who made the little robot taxidermy mouse and I'd love to vend there if you guys would let me but this year I have surgery but I'm already trying to save money for next year.Imma be terrified buts kinda become a new dream of mine.I definitely have more taxidermy robots planned.Love you guys!
An ounce of silver is worth $22.70 at time of this comment, meaning that selling dirt that might contain an ounce of silver for $10 a jar provides just enough money to make it viable as a business plan to sell dirt.
Fortnite really benefited from the pandemic as well. There was a while there where it was the place for preteens to hang out and socialise when the couldn't go out, and the concerts and stuff they were hosting. It makes sense those years were big earners.
Yiu where pretty much spot on with gen-z and alpha being less literate with technology but you missed the largest reason. Older generations used to and still say that children who grow up with this technology already understand it. This isn't the case and it has caused so many students i have taught to be unable to use a keyboard and mouse at the age of 12. It's know as the 'digital natives' issue and primary/elementary schools would rather not teach computing or only use tablets and its making tbe problem so much worse.
Modern Captchas just watch how your mouse moves so they will ask you to select pictures if they're not completely sure. The movement of your mouse as you select the images is how they determine if you are human or not.
@@omarg2079 rofl yeah i think probably all they are really doing is making sure a program isnt using like SetCursorPos() to teleport the mouse cursor. sheeit if u a gamer ur mouse DPI is probably high enough it still looks like a traceable path
In a few instances researchers have found that recaptcha actually doesn't care about mouse movements at all. Even if it does, it looks at much much more than just mouse activity. There isn't much official info on how it works but it's speculated that it looks at Google cookies, client side browser/environment information, IP info, activity on the website prior to clicking the checkbox, injecting client side JS and seeing if/how the code runs on the client browser, just about whatever data they can get a hold of...
Can we get Technology Connections on the show sometime? I can already imagine the obscure rabbit holes in that episode
Safety Third x Alec would be an awesome episode, and now he seems to be open to collabs, 2024 is looking brighter for this collab.
he was at opensauce
That would be awesome!
So safety third in Chicago when? He's not going to fly to the west coast, or they could being back the Zoom call format for one episode, that would be cool. (Maybe Nigel or Bernard would show up if they dumped the dumpster for a few recordings)
Star Trek Fleet Command has made more money since it launched than the entire fucking movie franchise has.
you kidding
please tell me you are joking
nah bro, games make mad cash@@cubedbeany6199
27:00 Jabril's game idea already exists it's called YOMI Hustle and it's very fun
that's exactly what I was thinking of. I was like wait a minute this game already exists
literally paying it as he was talking about it thought i was going crazy
Yeah that game goes crazy
I was thinking of tori bash but yomi hustle looks so much better
Edit: lol of course they mention tori bash as soon as I unpause the video
Also checkmate showdown
Best episode yet! I liked the part at 1:08:35 where Allen looked directly into the camera and stated my full name, address and his plan to slaughter my wife and children!
loved that part
Jabril's chess fighting game sounds a lot like the game Your Only Move Is Hustle. Great game that kinda flew under the radar. Highly recommend checking it out if you haven't!
I love that game, so fun. I hate fighting games because of how fast they are but YOMI Hustle makes it a strategy game.
Came down to the comments to make sure someone else mentioned this. Jabril is just describing YOMIH
God YOMI Hustle is so goated
Was looking for this comment, I knew I had seen a game exactly like it when he was describing it.
17:42 Nobody tell Allen about PewDiePie's Tuber Simulator...
William doesn’t know the difference between a spade and a shovel, but DOES know the difference between a psychiatrist and psychologist. Huh
@slow_riding4225 underrated comment right here
POV: you modded minecraft back in the day@slow_riding4225
What's the line between spade and trowel?

35:45 Are you talking about Bobby Fingers again? That shit's great!
Oh yea I subbed to that dude. He rules
Candy crush is like game junk food. It isn't good, it just has a bunch of fat and sugar, so your brain lights up
protogens go beep boop
Idk why you commented this but you have made my day a little better
Ope. I immediately know the conversation they had about peanut butter and dogs.
My question is who started it?
I dont get it

Jabrils is such a cool dude with such an interesting background
The app Kevin is describing is kinda like the website super cook, you put in your ingredients and it’ll tell you recipes you can make
I dont know much about Jabrils other than the fact that i love seeing him on the podcast. Consistently an a+ guest
the midpoint between the UK, Japan and Mexico is on the border of Arizona and Utah in Navajo Nation btw
Jabrils describing your only move is hustle

Kevin’s chemistry game for sure

When I was in HS there was no network security. You could access everything from a save dialog in notepad.
In high-school we got full backdoor access to school network. We added halo and emulators. But the true master piece was a mass update to Word where anytime someone went to print it would insert ascii dongs into the text
we ALL know what that first dog topic was about lmao
That's on you, dude.

On the truck driving one. There are rules on the max amount of hours you are allowed to work.

8:54 many weird online magazine articles often use odd numbers (like 17) to list things because it’s more likely to get clicked on

1:05 Dog + Peanut Butter + x = a good time.
Solve for x
A keypad, obviously

Playing threes while hearing Alan talking about it is trippy af
38:15 this does exist (or at least did at one point) where it would put ads on your lockscreen. The payout rate was abysmally low though lmao
jabril's game idea is just yomi hustle lmfao
the yt studio clicker sounds the easiest to make and the most fun to play, also a lot of in app purchases could be added, like setup upgrades, editors, etc.
Number go up by Allen pan 😂
I’d love to hear jabrils take on PALWORLD
Jabril just repitching Your Only Move Is Hustle
i think kevin should make his app
Hands down I'd play Kevin's game
42:00 these boys want to go do a minecraft to New Zealand and I’m lowkey all for it

or Yomi hustle?
There are teams of people in Jamaica (probably other places too) which their entire hustle involves solving captchas for botnets

Fun fact: our dog doesn’t like peanut butter. The first of its kind I’ve ever known to violate this rule, unfortunately for us 😂
There's a game like that fighting game described called YOMI HUSTLE
peanut butter dog is good, but the chemistry game would have the greatest chance for getting myself into trouble and that is much more appealing for me, so I vote for the chemistry game :3
I vote Kevin's idea
29:10 did Jabrill just describe YOMI Hustle?
I pay mechanical Turks to transcribe this podcast into 4 text files, one for each person. That's my reading material while i drive
Guys didn’t even get to the deeper lore and minigames of cookie clicker
17:59 this reminds me so much of pewdiepie’s tuber simulator

I teach technology to teenagers, and I can attest to them getting less skilled with computers. But they learn super fast, and they are skilled at finding the resources they need online, which is a skill that transfers from phones to computers easily.
Jabrils is gonna be devastated when he finds Your Only Move Is HUSTLE on steam and learns they already made his game. haha
Love to hear a variation on the ago old dogwarts question
It's funny because Allen doesn't realize NGU (numbers go up) idle is an actual idle game that already exists.
Numbers go up
1:10:40 I remember reading this in 2600 magazine.
little known fact that screensaver .SCR files are really just .EXE files. in highschool i replaced the login screensaver with a keylogger
Yall were talking about candy crush being the good game that would get ripped off but completely forgot about bejeweled 😂

Kevin's Pantry Science Experiments
So I guess Exhibitor Applications are open for OpenSauce now, huh?
Chess fighting game has been made already
Kevin’s game sounds amazing!!
My depressing ass question got teased. Cant wait to listen to the the answer on patreon!!
UA-camr Dan Hurd sells pay dirt which contains gold so you can practice gold panning
Thanks for teaching me how to cheat at cookie clicker

Episode 100 coming up 😮
2048 is a much better name than threes.
1:07:45 this guy codes a lot. He codes so much he doesn't even have the basics of current meme culture.
Petition for NileRed to make a special appearance via Zoom or something soon
Are y’all gonna fucking play Armored Core 6 or what

yeah thats like the only thing that the checkbox for "im not a robot" does
im cracked on the mouse and keyboard they wouldnt be able to tell me apart from bots tbh.

Honestly that game doesn't sound too hard, I might just make it for shits and giggles this weekend, get a live api dataset for actual youtube channels
I'm a game dev who tried to make UA-cam a thing. I'll never come back to videos full time because game dev is FAR more profitable.
Bring the milk guy Dani here, i miss his content =(
Who made a billion dollars, what app did he say?
Who's Ray Chadelichin?
very kool this is the best podcast nicolas cage approves
I vote for Peanut butter dog as a tower defense.
dude I have 601/637 achievements in cookie clicker
I'm at 603/637. Working on getting 1000 ascensions right now.
wasn't candy crush a rip off of bejeweled?
i made a cookie clicker clone with gems instead, on the play store. and only 5 people downoaded it =(
wants to be yomi hustle so bad
