This is the one Microsoft game I've had my eyes on since the generation began. Can't wait.
Why are they hiding it? Hardly any new footage and a bunch of bs spoken read from a script lol aren't you getting deja vu?

@@emiln768 he said the music escalates during battle … i guess indicating that you’re almost at the end of the battle. Not really “music is a health bar” but i guess you can think of it like that… for the bosses at least Or atleast in this demo.
My issue with 1 was the chromatic aberration effects. Personally, I could not get on with the vertigo inducing effects. Beautiful game, great audio design, but seasickness was not for me. I’ll see how I get on with this when it’s released.

I’m a be honest as someone who liked the first game, I’m disappointed by how little it seems they improved it. It’s just a really good looking game now. Story might be good, but improving the gameplay was what I was hoping for all these years. We waited too long for this.

@@OtakuUnderground92 You haven't seen the video, the fights are crazy, even gamepspot found them difficult, a lot of effort was put into the gameplay, the gap seemed huge between 1 and 2.
To be honest start by watching the video, these are fights that you have seen not cutscenes, lol yes it seems incredible I know.

I don't like story driven games and yet when I played the first one it was one of the best immersive games I've played and great audio I look forward to the second one.

@@j3t617 That’s every story driven game ever. You can pause and pick up it whenever you want. Multiplayer games are the ones that you can’t do that with without basically throwing the match.

There are even single player games that are laid back with story like Minecraft and Animal Crossing, then those where you can just jump in like sports or fighting games, many Nintendo games too that focus on the fun factor rather than story. 30fps is fine for most games, you only really need 60fps for competitive pvp games - online shooters, fighting games etc.
Most people complaining about 30 FPS probably don't understand FPS or they're just looking for any excuse to hate, just ignore them.

Good, I'm glad its 30dps. Im so sick of 60fps games that look last gen. I have no desire to play those. it's about time we got a graphically impressive game that pushes visuals.
because 30 fps is so next gen, right? :D guess it depends what you want from next gen, nicer screenshots or more fluid games. im playing games, not looking at screenshots, so i always pick 60 fps and worse graphics than 30 fps.

A short masterpiece. You have never experienced anything like it, I promise you that. Be sure to use good ear/headphones: the audio on this is next-level, and the immersion is something else. Plus, the visuals are still top-notch. Trust me, 10/10.

Ragnarok, Spider-Man 2 (with some ray tracing), Stellar Blade, Forbidden West all run 60fps, this game absolutely could do 60 frames with effort put into it. All of those games are on par or better than this in terms of fidelity

They need more experimental indie stuff. Sony already is dominating the massive budget sinks. Xbox can use a tactic of many scaled back and experimental titles to make them stand out.

The original hellblade was a ps4 exclusive, same as heavenly sword on ps3. Also i really like the first game and dont have or want an xbox. So i guess i just dont play it
You will likely be playing this on PS5 at some point. Microsoft are porting more games on PlayStation and Switch.

A Game that was introduced with/for Xbox Series even before it coming out and a year before PS5's name being official is coming after ~6 years and we still don't have a proper gameplay of it. And also being described as nothing but postive things by these (unofficial Xbox) influencers, "isn't suspecious at all" like always. right?
We have seen alot of game play from this game dude..
Looking forward to playing this in May. Hopefully those on PlayStation get a chance next year. Like cinema, everyone should be able to experIence this visual masterpiece of the year.

This is the second time I’ve read something similar. There were no quick time events in the first game. Why would there be any here? Or are you just throwing out a mechanism this is currently frowned upon just to make the game sound bad?
Man, as someone who enjoyed the first game and even liked Ninja Theory’s DmC gameplay this just looks mid from a combat perspective. I get that this is more narrative focus, but dang it you would think they would’ve completely evolved the combat. I know they said that they “don’t want her to be a superhero”, but this combat just sluggish to me. Very tired of these slow action titles with a weak combo game. This did nothing to change my mind from the last dozen previews. At least they finally showed a lengthy chunk of combat I guess.

i still haven't made up my mind on the combat. it can salvage it a bit if they decide to put any substance into it. but honestly it looks mind numbingly simple. my last hope for now is the boss mechanics. until then, HARD PASS!

what you have seen is gameplay, not cutscenes, it sounds incredible but true !
this just looks like the quarry, but with viking and a bit more interactivity, tbh this game looks on rails walk walk walk puzzle, cutscene, very scripted fight, walk walk cutscene over and over.
It sounds exactly like he's describing the first game. 😂 I'm excited because I actually loved the first game, but seemingly nothing has changed.
From the sounds of it he seemingly hadn't played the 1st game in some parts of the video (mentioning the mirror as if it was new), then in others it sounds like he had (mentioning the differences in how the Valkyrie's interact with Senua).
Judging by his movement in combat his health was low, and it seems that he didn't quite understand how to parry attacks. Typical game journo these days. 😂
I'm happy this game got a sequel, it deserves it. Unfortunately I don't have a gaming PC or a Series console. 😅 It's the one game I'm hoping comes to the PS5 now that Microsoft is putting games on rival platforms.

...and now that it's out, I can tell you the combat is utter nonsense and feels like someone else is controlling it. Long animations and scripted hits make whatever button you are mashing almost completely pointless. It won't go off, or it goes off waaaaaay too late, or it simply gets interrupted by the baddies insta-attacks over and over and over. They removed the "melee/stun" attack completely and the light vs heavy are no different, so you have a dodge that rarely works and a hit. The end.
