Resizing Rooms in Xactimate the Right Way

I've found that after training thousands of people how to use Xactimate, there are a few fundamental skills that many take for granted are being done correctly, when really there is a better way.
This video covers one of those fundamental skills and shows how much time can be wasted by not resizing a room or roof correctly and how it can be inaccurate at the same time.

Wow, I’m in training, so that part was stumping me about the hard change of estimates, but I see now and I have to hit enter for my measurements to change smh lol also resizing sometimes if I type in the measurement my room will obtuse lol what am I doing wrong? When it happens I just click wall and straighten it but I still need to know what I’m doing wrong lol

What about if there’s a door or windows in the way?

If windows and doors are in the way when changing the size of a wall you can manually enter the dimensions or remove the door/window resize and put back in the wall. Hope that helps!
