When i saw this in 2000 at age 18 after hearing about it when i saw this story, i thought of Tales from the Darkside's gargoyle story
Yes they made the ending a lot more horrifying in the Tales from the Darkside version!

It’s some sort of Japanese flute. It’s simple but it’s effective as Bernard Hermann in this short 🥶
