When you start learning violin you sometimes start off by just going back and forth with the bow note to note, but when it comes to learning bow slurs---that is when you squeeeeeeeeeeeeeek...scccrrrraaaaaape...."whisper" You need to learn to let your bowing hand "pivot" if you will as it goes from frog to tip or tip to frog ends...Yeah, right David smashing perfectly good violins...and that joke the guy cracked was lame!--Joni
