    First, I love Premier clay. It is the best air dry clay out there. I love the way these candles turned out. The clay coating will last for years and it makes the project looks so elegant. Bravo!

    Sooooooo pretty I need those molds ! I can see them being used for so many projects and . I have a whole bunch of scented candle oils form my sis that has worked in a candle factory for over 15 years ! Now I can see making some fancy scented candles with this technique, even reusing the glass holders the candles she makes come in ! So many ideas 💡 thanks mark

    Beautiful!! My mother had a beautiful jewelry box that was plaster I think. It had been carved and painted and antiqued. I always thought it was so elegant. I may try this on a small wooden cigar box I found. You always amaze me!!!

    WOW! I love making embellishments for my art (mostly Steampunk). Right now I'm using 2-part Apoxie Sculpt, which is fine - most of the time. Your Activa clay sounds like a great alternative to try!!! And I love how you can present a project so clearly in less than 5 minutes. This one was GORGEOUS!! Thanks and big hug, cat

    Stunning!!! I have that mold and two others. The flourish looking one I was going to put on a tin can and use in the bathroom to hold stuff since my glass one broke.But I was having issues getting the paper clay out of the mold. Now I know why... I need to dust it with cornstarch so thank you for the reminder. it's been a while since I played with clay. With the Polymer stuff I used water. Don't even bother with air dry clay that stuff is total crap. I wrapped a thin layer around the can by morning it had cracked and fallen off.

    • @MarkMontanoMakeYourMark
      @MarkMontanoMakeYourMark  6 років тому

      Cornstarch saved my life! Put it in a little salt shaker so you have it on hand when you need it. Add some rice in it so it stays broken up.

    • @Ldybugsrus-Nadine
      @Ldybugsrus-Nadine 6 років тому

      oh good idea. we already use rice in the salt shaker for the same reason.

    • @MarkMontanoMakeYourMark
      @MarkMontanoMakeYourMark  6 років тому

      Hi Deb, great question! The clay can shrink a tiny bit so you want to make sure that it's completely dry first.

    Iove all your designs.. I was thinking how neat it would be if you had one or two days workshops, and people could come and create a few of your designs.. I live here in Northwest Alabama where a clothing designer named Alabama Chanin has work shops, sell kits to make things by hand, and I think she travels, I know she did in the past, giving work shops... Her items are pricey, but a good concept.. I think a Mark Montana workshop would be s dream... If you packaged you projects as kits, it would be great.. we could just order the kit to complete the project. Of course, we could pick up our own dollar store candels etc.. I saw that the Alabama Chanin company is selling kits on Craftsy
