Looking positively Monet with some of those colors! Loving it!
Loved this project with Darcy and loving yours also❤❤❤
I am impressed by your beautiful envelopes. Can't wait to see part 2.
Very interested in how the envelope journal comes about with these beautiful colors! TFS
It's so nice to see the differences in method and style between you and Darcy. And both are wonderful to watch. Thank you for sharing, Ceri and I look forward to seeing the next video. 💛🫂
I appreciate the tip about unifying with white.
These envelopes are fabulous. I love all the beautiful colors. Each is a different color, shape and size, yet they go together as a set.
I am L👁👁king forward to watching this project progress. ❤❤❤
Thank you so much Julie.
Very interesting a Darcy like Ceri❤ I’m proud of you
Thank you
This is fabulous! Loved watching this!
Love the envelopes. They are such pretty colors. TFS
You have great and yet uncomplicated ideas. I learn so much from you. Thank you for all you do. You are the best! (Greensboro, NC. USA)
Thanks so much 😊
Ceri, so original and creative, love it. Can't wait for the next video. Thank you :)
Interesting. Of course now my hands are itching to get the gel plate out and have fun. I’ve painted envelopes in the past (Kylie Coo) probably back in 2020. After this I’ll be watching how Darcy did it. Thanks much for your take on this.
So glad you are doing this series'. I Went over to Darcy's after I saw your happy mail, and am so grateful to you for suggesting it. Your envelopes are fabulous! Can't wait to see this journey of yours. TFS 🙏🥰
Can’t wait to see where this goes! Thanks Ceri.
Love the different colors and designs ❤
I absolutely love this video! Thank you so much for explaining your method. Especially the way and reason you chose your colors. I have learned a lot watching your videos.
Beautiful envelopes, I enjoyed watching🤩
You make painting the envelopes look so fun. I may have to try it.
Hello from Beautiful British Columbia Canada 🇨🇦
I always marvel at how you take inspiration from other artists like Darcy and take it in your own direction, even
though I think your styles are so different!
I can rest when I’m dead! That’s some work ethic! But hopefully your demise is not going to happen for a good while yet so please don’t leave it that long! Beautiful envelopes and great chat as always.
Fabulous as always!😊 now off to see Darcys!
Another great adventure - so far, so good! It'll be fun watching you explore, in your own wonderful ways, these "inspired by Darcy" techniques and ideas - there is also in this a celebration of sorts, of her and her amazing talents, and that makes me happy, too!
Awesome, thank you!
🥰♥️
Envelope Journals are my absolute favorite journals to make. I really enjoyed watching your process, and how you streamlines them together with your mark making. You sure gave them some attitude!😀
Thank you so much!
FANTASTIC!!! Put on my TO DO LIST!!! TFS!!
Austin TX USA
Have fun
You are such an inspiration for all of us. Can't wait to watch the other video. I saw Darcy's video about painted papers, so guess what I'll be doing this weekend? Thanks for share all this with us ❤
I’m looking forward to seeing the end result of this!
Oh yes! Fantastic as always. xo
Hello also from British Columbia :)
I love this! I like your idea of dumping scraps of paint into 1 bottle. I will start a dump journal as well. I look forward to your construction.
Thanks so much! 😊
Love these!!!!!! 💚🖤💚
Hi Ceri. What a fun idea! TFS Hope you have a great day. 🌞
Thank you! You too Donna
I agree that we can rest when we are dead. Got lots to do before then.
I so enjoy your videos. You inspired me to try to make a junk journal. It is a work in progress. Thanks to you I had a reason to ho thirsting at my local second shops looking for old book scraps of ribbon, lace, and much more. Keep crafting and carry on, Ceri Rhe Crafter!
This is so fun! I can’t wait to try this. It will be fun finding all the different patterns l have to create.❤ it
It really is
That would be a fun swap...painted envelopes
Good thought Robin.
I am so glad you decided to try this....I work much more like you. I love watching Darcy but I don't work as fast...I need to think and process😂😂
I'm so enjoying watching you create on the fly, or "by the seat of your pants," Ceri! You're embracing your inner Darcy. 😄
Oh thank you
I love how the different colors came out! I am looking forward to seeing how the project turns out! Love watching you work!
This is so inspiring! They look wonderful! I have a ridiculous amount of envelopes. I need to do this🤔🥰
Hardly the point of the video, but I did appreciate the brief serenade! Country Road is one of my favorites. And gluing the tape centers together was brilliant. Thanks for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed it
This is some of your best stuff
Aloha Ceri, another great video! You are my mentor and I enjoy watching your videos and your thought process on why. Not to mention your work always comes out beautiful! Hugs from TuTu 🤙❤
Wow, thank you
Oh I am so happy you are doing this. I love watching Darcy but I learn the way you teach better. I have a bunch of envelopes I need to go paint now😂❤
Wonderful
Love this!!!
I have watched you and Darcy and absolutely feel it's a great combination/comparison of creativity, technique, and inspiration and in my case something I can do!!! I love the attempt at perfection and the acceptance of it not being perfect as well as the ability to "fix anything" you aren't pleased with. It is really encouraging for me since I'm far from even knowing what I think is perfect and I might even be able to "fix" things I'm not happy with. Looking forward to seeing the progression of this journal as I attempt to make something similar. TFS 😍😍😍
Susan we’re all on our own creative pathways and travel at our own pace.
Going to be very pretty😊
Love it
Your envelopes look fantastic ❤❤❤
Thank you so much Darcy, I feel our journals will look very different but each as beautiful as the other.
@@CeriGriffiths agreed ❤️
Hello from Alberta Canada
This is so interesting to watch. Absolutely NOT a natural process for me. I MIGHT be able to do the first step. But after that, nope. Just can't get there. Eager to see what happens next.
❤❤xx
You sang! I love it!
Lol…..guess I was in my happy place.
@@CeriGriffiths I love that even more ❤️

Hi Ceri I love your work. Do you have a video about making your patterned foam core boards. I love what you did and would love to know what you used. Thanks!
I think this is what you’re looking for ua-cam.com/video/M3Y3UM9nBzQ/v-deo.htmlsi=CJwd7WSMDhB6ht7Y
Beautiful envelopes. Can’t wait to see what you do with them. Didn’t that cadmium yellow and white look like lemon meringue? 😀🙃😀
Yes it did.
Hello Ceri, I hope your days are going well? I'm going to sit back and find inspiration, and if not, I'll just hang out because it's fun. 😆 🎉❤ I won't follow you today. I'm working on my second flip flop journal (inspired by 507 Willow House Journals.) Peace, love, and hugs ✌️
Have a fun day, and thank you.
I loved this video. You always teach and inspire!
I’m curious about one thing. Could you mail something in one of these envelopes?
I’ve not done it but I know some of my American friends have, I’ve even received one or two, you just need a clear area on the front for the address. Here in the UK I’m not sure the postoffice would accept it but I’ve not tried.

Hi Ceri the crafter. Recentish subby here, kind of new to journals but absolutely loving your work. Utterly inspirational. So my question is what is a digital? How do you use them? why do you use them? Where do you get them from? Perhaps you could do a video on this subject as I really need some guidance in this subject. Thanks for reading xx
Hi Chris, a digital or sometimes know as a printable is an electronic file of images either in page format or ephemera format to be cut up and used for everything from journal making to card making and much more. These digitals are created by artists using images that they either hold the license for or their images within the public domain. Once you purchase and download this file/files you have that file for life and can print it as many times are you wish.
Depending on the artist who created it you may be able to use the images for personal use only or for a limited use in things you create and then sell. It is very important when purchasing a digital that you are familiar with the conditions of use.
I hope that helps, yes maybe a video in the future may be of some use, I’ll have to think on it.
I swapped with Eddie for April's #makerscreativecollab2024 and used a lot of gelplate prints from him to collage on the envelopes.
I’ll be digging into my forgotten stash of prints.
I recently started following you on this channel. I am curious, how do you stay motivated to keep creating? I am in a place where I go into my craft room and I just can't seem to do anything. It's like all my creative energy disappeared. What tips do you have if any for overcoming creative slumps?
Robin, I’m not sure I can fully answer that except to say that my studio is my happy place and I’m blessed with an enormous imagination, other artists continually inspire me also, but there are days when I walk into my studio, look around and walk back out because I know that anything I create on that day I won’t be happy with.
When I have days where I’m not in the mood I sometimes pick an area, cupboard, drawer etc and sort/tidy it. Invariably I’ll find a part finished project or a supply which I then deal with.
I’m okay with having an off day, it gives me a chance to breathe. Having a UA-cam channel does come with commitment though and being a very organised person by nature my filming schedule is laid out far in advance, not to say I don’t alter things if I’m fired up about one project over another.
Maybe if you’re having a day where you’re not feeling it just choose to do a small thing each day, fussy cut for 30 mins, make ephemera bases, sort supplies to find those out of date or dried up, that may get you back into the creative habit.
Good luck.
This is very boho
Do you save all the envelopes you receive? If so how do you open them? I have a letter opener but it doesn’t always work to open them cleanly.
Sandy I save what I can
