It’s pretty simple. Just two split shots on top of a swivel. Tie on main line. Make a 5ft leader (20-25lb test) and tie on a #5 octopus hook with yarn or beads

Yes transform means they are going into their final stage and are starting to die. At that point the meat won’t be as good anymore. The silver tends to stay chrome for the longest tho so your chance with a chrome silver will still be good
Move around and find where they are schooled up at. Gotta put in work to get ‘em . I say the easiest way is to use bobber with eggs on incoming tide or outgoing tide
To each their own . I can do any method this is just the most effective on low tide. When it’s hide tide we can’t floss anymore. When it’s low tide you can’t throw bait or lure. So tell me that again lol
