As a fan of anime, This Japanese dub was seriously disappointing. It's like the positions between English and Japanese got reversed. English nice and Japanese cringe😂
Fair enough. However, "Urusai" while shouting is very feminine. And the nuance for "Urusai" (which means "noisy, loud") is more like "you are annoying" - but I am not giving out any commands. Here the correct translation is indeed "Damare!", which literally means "Go silent!" as an order.
The general rule is that usually dubbing is worse than the original acting. So, an American movie will sound better in English; a German in German; a Japanese in Japanese. As for Anime, Japanese sounds better (even if evidently everybody is dubbing) because the Anime is MADE for the Japanese. A Disney cartoon sounds better in American English for the same reason. And also, some scenes are readapted depending on the original dubber (scenes are usually just sketches when recording the first time)...and the director may ask a dubber to modify the tone of voice, depending on how he imagined the scene and also depending on how the dubber is giving nuances. The dubbers for other countries, instead, have to stick to what is the product and try to mimic a performance.

In Hindi it's kept as Shut up in place of Chup rahiye
as voice timing has to be matched.
He would have said chup rahiye, ekdam chup. I think it would have suited as a voice timing but I am not expert so not sure.
Chup Behen Ki Lodi would have been apt.

Anyone who has watched enough Anime could predict Japanese
"Damare! Damare!!!"
As a fan of anime, This Japanese dub was seriously disappointing. It's like the positions between English and Japanese got reversed. English nice and Japanese cringe😂
@@_Sasuke_99so true because in anime the voice actors will shouting so hard more than this dub
I was thinking he would say "urusai" because it's meant to be disrespectful in this scene. But he went with "damare"
I just learnd how to say shut up in so many languages
Idk about the other languages but the Korean one means “please stop” not shut up lol
I honestly do not care

1:03 I didn't know there was a dub as Gaeilge. Very nice 😀
“Zamknij się! Stul pysk!” in polish still the best for me hahah
Yeah it's much more vulgar than just shut up
In German he also said shut your mouth.
"SHUP UP! SHUT UP!" Harry said calmly
Fun fact: the voice actor in the dutch version also voiced Sokka in the dutch version of Avatar the last airbender series.
