Well that is awsome it is a great knife for sure! I love Joker knives and own many. THanks for watching the video and for the comment and have a great and safe christmas and new years.
Great review! Thanx! This has been on my shopping list for long time. Have to get it! Cheers from a fellow, outdoor/fishing/knife enthusiast youtuber from a village of Fiskars!
thanks for the great comment and it is a great knife I do not regret getting it, Joker makes some great knives hands down and they are some of my favorites I have.
Ive never been a fan of full sabre grinds. The Nomad 6.5 is an exception as a top sabre and a convex edge. I was doubtful at first but for the money a fantastic survival and general camp knife. I would have preferred in a Kydex sheath as i primarily keep this in my bugout kit, but the leather is good quality 👍
thanks for the comment and watching the video and I love both the nomad and nomad 6.5 I think they are both great knives and I think Joker makes some really all around great knives as well.
The grind of the knife is a high Sabre grind (my preferred grind), the knife also has a convex edge. Convex edges tend to be on expensive knives because they are done by hand. I am surprised that this knife can be sold for under 150
thanks for the great comment and watching the channel. I can never remember what all the different grinds are called so appreciate the info for sure. And ya the 6.5 is a really nice knife as well as the joker nomad with the 5 inch blade both have the same blade grind and handle just one is a little bigger then the other one. Joker is out of Spain and they are crushing it with there knives. I have about a dozen of them 2 do reviews on and all of them are great! definitely if you are into good knives they are worth checking out all they have to offer in my opinion.
ya I have added a link to the one with a Ferro rod that runs $189 I was lucky when I found mine for the price I did as they had not really been released in the states yet at the time. thanks for the comment and watching the video.
@@BravoBassin okay thanks. I'm thinking of buying it but I read a couple of comments about this and it made me doubt. I'll probably end up buying it because it's a nice knife
@@vgacbtp well I am not sure who would say it's tip is to blunt as I had zero problems stabbing it into that oak log bench that is in front of me in the video as you saw. I think some people complain just to complain about something. I think you will be very happy with the knife. And by the way you can use a dang butter knife for self defense if you know what you are doing or a fork for that matter!! lol!
well I like them both but if I could only have one it would be the smaller nomad over the nomad 6.5 as I feel it is a great all around size for most anything and everything you would need a knife for or to do. I prefer knives in that 3 to 5 or 6 inch range at the most and it fits the bill perfectly for that for me.
well the knife is very sharp and not sure how you can't see from the video other then some of my fumbeling with the paper cut test a couple times but the blade did slice right threw the paper several times. But take from it what you will as it is a great knife and Joker makes really amazing knives in my opinion for the price.
Good review! I just ordered one of these as a Christmas present to myself.

Convex Saber grind I believe. Either a convex Saber or convex flat.
thanks aappreciate the comment and watching the channel.
I have seen it like that for 180 on amazon and the version with the ferro rod is around 205

I enjoyed the video btw
thanks appreciate it and appreciate you watching the channel a well.
Hello, would you say that this knife has a too blunt tip to be valid for self-defense?
No I would not say that as the tip is plenty sharp enough for that if need be but lets hope that never is the case.

If you was attacked by a wild animal in the woods I don’t think you will have a problem defending yourself with this knife 🔪 . I just ordered one too.
Agreed. Too, btw
Which do you prefer the normal or the big nomad?

Chicago Knife Works has the cheapest prices I’ve seen on Joker Knives. Picked up the Nomad 6.5 for $108
awsome! that is a great price for that knife!
thanks for watching the channel.
$310 in Australia :-/
@@adods9824:( sorry to hear that
I have both
thanks fo rthe comment and yep I have both as well.
Convex???
thanks I always suck at remembering the different grinds names with knives.
Yes
Hollow ground???
oops! I think I replied to you twice so I deleted the other one. I appreciate the comments though and thanks for watching.
You not selling its sharpness very well 😉
And perhaps slow down as you look like your going to injure yourself badly.
Slow and steady wins the day.
