Sugaring: The Best Hair Removal Method You Aren't Using | Beauty Review

  • What is sugaring? In the world of hair removal, everyone wants a budget-friendly option that promises to remove the hair quickly without traumatizing the body during the procedure. Sugaring seems to be the best alternative when it comes to getting rid of unwanted hair. It costs about the same as waxing, but instead of potentially breaking the hair off at the skin's surface, this mixture of sugar, lemon, and honey removes the hair directly from the follicle, allowing it to grow back softer, less coarse, and thus less noticeable. So who is it best for? Decide if sugaring is right for you. On Kirbie: Darling dress, Kate Spade earrings.

is it easy to do at home? because where i live sugaring is super super expensive

    • @Dangerous0Fairy
      @Dangerous0Fairy 7 років тому +5

+Charlotte West yes super easy all you need to do is get the recipe .. let it cool & you can
watch a video on how to use it ..
you can make as much as you need and keep it for later use .
sugaring removes only dead skin while waxing removes the entire skin layer dead & live cells which is why sugaring is better
you'll need some practice coz the sugar melts fast so make sure you keep trying & sit in a cool room ..once you learn it you'll be able to sugar your entire body in 20 mins and it's going to feel super silky & clean

it's middle eastern, and for the recipe you don't add water it's just freshly squeezed lemon juice and sugar that you turn into some sort of caramel and work a bit in your hands before you apply it to the skin

Kiroro Damia Just like with how someone may know how to do something cool, then someone who's never seen it before will be like "holy shit, that's genius, I've never thought of that before, I'm going to try it myself". Doesn't mean they're ripping you off, or that they're stupid for not knowing about it before. You live life and you learn new things every single day, no one is born knowing everything, some things that seem obvious to you may not be for another. Why the fuck is everyone so quick to bitch and moan about EVERYTHING? That's what I want to know

I just graduated from beauty school. They didn't teach us to do this, just what it was. I wish they had, because I'd love to be able to do it! I'll have to learn it on my own through continuing education because it's getting more popular, especially in the Pacific Northwest.

  • @SanaHS

That's the way I have always been using to remove hair and I learned it from my mother and my grandmother.
It's the traditional method we use in north african countries especially in Tunisia :)
And it's quite easy to master
You can replace some of the preparation water with orange blossom water and use rosewater after rinsing your skin to minimize irritation :)

It's just melted sugar or caramelized sugar, which can be very dangerously hot. I am a pastry chef and we are always very careful with caramelized sugar as it can give you a 3rd degree burn!

  • @KirbieJohnson

The first time is the most painful. Once you try it, it gets less and less painful because the follicle has been removed from the pore so many times, it grows back less frequently and softer! And it's very quick -- it doesn't take a long time like waxing sometimes does.

Hey guys! Thumbs up so everyone can see:
While you can totally make this at home, the techinique takes time to master. If you saw in the video, I got a ball of the sugar wax to test out and it was even difficult for me to learn to maneuver. Therefore, unless you're a professional or are positive you can master this art, please don't try it at home.
It is safe to use everywhere! Legs, bikini, brazilian, face, arms, underarms, etc.
Exfoliate the area before you sugar, then moisturize it after.

I usually exfoliate the day before "sugaring" and make sure to hydrate very well my skin. The next day, wash the area with warm water (hot water may make your skin too sensitive). Make sure your skin is perfectly dry before using the sugary wax; if not, it would dilute and won't be sticky. I hope this answers your questions.
