Best project for a new welder is a custom cart.
They also make a remote that goes right on the gun also to turn it on and off thats what i run on mine cause I'm always in the some akward spot that the foot pedal won't work.
I made a great living for 25 years Welding...I teach Welding now...My advice is to take your time and fully understand the material that you're welding and keep it clean..Good Luck Guys on Stacking those Dimes...

Tried welding in a metal fab class in high school. My glove kept getting stuck to the metal. Any idea what I was doing wrong? It kinda scared me into not pursuing welding, and was too embarrassed to ask the teacher or anyone else back then

Went to school for welding. Started a job on the railroad repairing rail cars/inspecting cars. Making a crazy good living a year out of college! Trades are where it’s at!

When I was in high school, I worked for rough country suspension in El Cajon. The welder there made tig welds look like fine art. Lol

Congrats brother you picked a great welder. Just a little heads up anytime you do ANY welding on a vehicle be sure to disconnect all batteries to prevent damaging any computers/electronics. You may not have had any issues yet but it's a matter of time before it does happen.
The wide angle view is great always watching in full screen and miss stuff that just out the screen

“ every house comes with a stick welder” haha my house has 4 switches on the panel for welders specifically and had 1 welder in the garage and 4 tanks of the gasses in the shed.

Tig welding, mig welding, or any type of welding, the biggest problem I have seen folks have problems with is over thinking like witn anything

Little tip you can pull the trigger and have the machine do the work when you put a new roll of wire on just put it in the wheels and make sure it’s in the lead first and pro tip you should have a jog button and purge button
Look at getting a swag off road band saw stand so you can use that band saw as a table top one makes it a lot easier to cut things.

I got the Thermal Arc fabricator 211. It’s a 3 in 1 for entry level welder. I still need to get the TIG parts and a gas bottle.
Scratch start is the way to go with TIG, especially welding pipe
One thing I want to help you out with is to weld up hill with mug it is easier. Love you videos watch everyone of them.

If that's hardwire mig you should push unstead of draging the gun, draging is more for gas fulxcore wire

I have the same welder. When you were welding the horns onto the rack and you blew the holes. You were probably focusing to much heat onto the horns and not the rack. So just for future reference for things like that focus more heat on the main bar and not a edge. Welds were looking good for not really mig welding a lot

No wayy, that's a badass welder. Just bought the same one a few months ago and got it for $3,700. I'm sure it's gone up from that. Very versatile and universal welder. I got the miller specific cart for it as well which like you said is not cheap, but it fits on there very well. Tungsten sharpener just buy a cheap harbor freight belt sander like 80 grit. And FYI it's stiff but it's a flex head

We use straight argon for both tig and mig (aluminum) and 75 25 for mig (carbon and SS)
Really should have reached out. ALOT of other channels have had the whole welding sets given to them. Tig/mig professional welder.
The 2% is what I use on everything literally. It’s the red pack so it’s easy to remember lol and for aluminum use the green!
Just an FYI Rhino coming from a mover and a fan, if thats a moving pad it can hold a cherry from a cigarette for 3 days without igniting nor spark from a welder. Just looking out for you don't burn 🔥 your shop down bud. Seen big rigs in flames before due to that

I’m 16 years old and a couple of months ago I got gifted a really nice (used) Miller Dialarc ac/dc stick welder. Would love to see some stick welding content from someone who’s more like me and doesn’t have much experience!

Make your own welding cart so you can build it to your own specs for your certain use.
Most people only use tig welding for aluminum welding and stick and mig for steel
For mig most of the time it would be something like er70s3 wire and 75/25 argon/co2
I have a the mutlimatic 200 that does all 3 too its a durable suitcase I use alot for aluminum spool gun... also stick welding and mig

Also here’s another tip I have take a piece of square tube that fits inside usually it won’t be angled when you do this but it makes life so much easier
stick welding is good to learn there cheep simple awesome for when your working out in the field no need to worry about gas or feed rate its all hands on the only real challenge is touching off gotta get it to arc then pull away a tiny bit with out braking the arc once you get that down its fairly straight forward.
Man DMAXRYNO, nice job on the beginning welds bro, I am jealous of the nice welder, just like you I have been wanting a good welder for a while now but have not pulled the trigger on it because of the price. I think the same way you do, you get what you pay for and is why I always save to buy the best product or tools or whatever one time instead of multiple times so first of all you get what you want which makes you happier and second you save money in the long run by not fixing or replacing the cheaper product over and over. Congratulations on the new sweet tool purchase, it will definitely help out Zach and you with your channel on the awesome builds. Keep up the great content 😁👍

.030 wire is what I've used for my offroad business last 6 years. Easier to work with and doesn't build up so fast

75/25 Argon/CO2 is what we use for shielding gas
AFAIK, using CO2 with MIG makes it MAG (Metal Active Gas instead of Inert). Still the same process, but since CO2 isn't inert, the name would be kinda funny. Using CO2 does make dirtier welds, but it could also cause them to be weaker, if I understood correctly. Since CO2 isn't completely inert, the hot metal will react more than it would with an inert gas, but still less than it would with normal air (so without a shielding gas). I'm no welder by trade though, I'm just a novice, so I could be wrong.
Try using a flonase nasal spray it help me so much with my allergies 🤧
You should make it where you can connect the welding cart to the mini truck so you can have a Mobile welding station

Get you the red color tungsten
You can sharpen tungsten with a 4 inch grinder
True, but a dedicated tungsten grinder gets you a consistent point very quickly

You should run Flux core with your mig so you done have to use any gas with it

At the end of the day I figured I'd have something, but I'm in the sun all day, so I'm already pretty crispy.
