  • 🟢 Freight train of "Bulgarian State Railways - Cargo" approaches the Klisura station with full tanks with sulfuric acid from "Aurubis" factory at the nearby Pirdop. The train is driven by two romanian locomotives Electroputere LE5100 - 91 52 0046 037-5 and 91 52 0046 041-7. Filmed on 24-June-2024...

    What a gorgeous location! I'm intrigued by the unusual signal in the closing part of your video, which seems to have five aspects. If this is to do with advance warnings that makes it a very modern signal - red, green and three levels of yellow, showing how far ahead the line is clear; that's usually appropriate for high line-speeds, so is it an indication that in future the sub-balkan line will see faster trains? - or the five aspects may be to do with which of the lines through Klisura station the train will be routed; do you, or any of your commenters, know the truth about this? Look forward to your next video

      of course I will let you know when I ask some people, who probably know...but how did you see the signals? i do not see any signals:)

      @@MiriamMars It's from 1:25 in the video. Looking again I can see that the lowest of the five signal lights is actually an add-on of some kind - maybe that's the one that indicates the route through Klisura station, and the other four are the usual four-aspect signal. Many thanks for your reply, anyway; it would be interesting to know if the sub-Balkan line signalling is being upgraded. As a mainly single-track mainline, with all kinds of trains - as your videos show - it's a good model of how such a route can still be an important part of the nation's transport network, and if the trains can be speeded up a little that will make it even better, as well as being a beautiful line to travel (or watch the trains go by on).

      @@ricktownend9144 I will definitely ask...Тhe only thing I'm sure of is that one minute before the train came, the light was green:))) And when train was already on the station he stopped..and after five or six minutes he moved on...And yes-the fifth signal is added for some reason afterwards...
      I will ask people from the station about these semaphores and the signalisation surely! (and what is for that fifth light)

      To това си е проблем в железниците - нямат пари дори да поддържат добър външен вид на машините. Окаяно е всичко:((( По чужбина влаковете приличат на току-що извадени от капитален ремонт:)))
