People like this either own a busuiness or they borrow equipment as well as use their credit cards. This i know for a fact. Back when i was in the field and had big toys like this i was connected with some very respected names and lesss you own your own business or have very good credit or can borrow the equipment youre not having anything like this. Equipment like this is not for the average person hence why most dream of having this stuff and never will. Theres alot that goes on in the field that most never see.

I'm a little late but no it doesn't damage you hearing, due to it being low frequency sounds.

Why don’t people ever use JL W7s? Is it because they’re so much more expensive or is it because they require such a large box
W7s are way overpriced for what they are. 1000watts rms, you can get some skars for 300$ with 1500watt rms. Plus these are spl guys. And BTW w7s require a smaller box then any speaker equal to it in power

I seen a guy hit 169.9 with 18 JL audio 12s on 6 2400 watt planet audio amplifiers. They were W-0 series 12s also. In a old ass dodge omni. That Tahoe has got way better power and gear.
