Well done. I just bought a new Behringer 2000 and needed some pointers real quick. You answered a lot of my questions. I basically have the same 15" peavey speakers and monitors. So thank you for your time and have a blessed holiday from Michigan.
Jason you might want to point our never go below the 4 Ohm threshold as you can burn out the amp. As you parallel / daisy chain the speakers the ohmage goes down so 2-8 Ohm speakers are 4 Ohms to the amp and 3 speakers are something like 2.6 ohms (8/ 3)
Hello. I have a question…so I have the harbinger model of this same mixer which is the harbinger LP9800. Same exact setup to your model… I want to know how I would connect passive floor monitors to this… It has the main output on the back but if you could look at it quick and shoot me some advice it would definitely be appreciated. I was just gona daisy chain the two mains and leave the second main output for a monitor. But the harbinger has these different modes on the back like “main” and “bridge”…🤷♂️. I am not a sound guy so I’m trying to figure out. Thank you. Ur videos are sooooo informal.
You will have to daisy chain both the monitor and the mains, as far as the bridge, I think it's for when you want to use both amps to power the mains, not 100% sure, check the manual to see. thanks for watching
I have an Alto live 802 mixer and 2 thump 12 speakers I’m trying to connect together but I can’t figure out how to connect them. Can you show me which way is best to connect it all together please 🙏🏽?
Great informative vids Jason. I'm sorry for the stupid question but I have one of these mixers on the way and was wondering If I can daisy chain two main speakers and two monitors as well? Thanks.
But you can also run it on stereo... correct? I just ordered this and there is a left and right main. The switch controls it. Maybe I'm misunderstanding... because I guess if you want to use a monitor then you'd have to use only one channel and daisy chain. I plan on using mine is a stereo configuration.
@@leapyearfiasco you can not plug a powered speaker into the outputs, it can cause damage to the mixer and/or speaker, as far as the subwoofer, if the subwoofer is not an active speaker, (powered speaker) then i guess you could, but I'm not sure how it would sound. You may not be able to get the bass sound you want.

Wires =1/4" Unbalanced Jack Leads, 4 pin = Speakon leads, (also many say 4 pin but only have a twin cable attached) also if its not been mentioned DO NOT go below 4 ohms as that is the stated min for this unit, (with wiring in parallel / diasy chain you are reducing the Impendence in half) or you will damaged the amp, do not plug in or unplug while powered on, not meaning to be picky but, its easy to miss certain important info out 🙂, but well done for doing the videos
Yes, you can Daisy chain the monitors also. On the manual, it say that the maximum power output is 500watts x 2 at 8ohms and 1000watts x 2 at 4ohms. Most speakers have an impedence of 8 ohms.

connect the wire that's in the output in the back of the mixer and plug it in into the monitor, (usually speakers have an input and output) then connect another wire from the first speaker into the second speaker. 00:05:48
@@JasonsAcousticWorkshop thank you so much for answering! So I only conect one speaker wire on the back of the mixer, in the Output A? Then, I connect one speaker to the other (like Daisy chain)? I apologize for asking this now.

@@JasonsAcousticWorkshop correct. But isn't the "monitor" output also the "left" output when only running 2 speakers? I have the identical pa and when I'm not running monitors I run 2 cables . @@johnlewis5774 YES, I have also the same question - can I use both outputs for 2 speakers? ,, I am a little confused with the (front) switch about setting speakers ( A/B, main, etc.)

The Main is mono, you can make it stereo by using the bridge setting, it runs monitor and mains together, one volume
