Oh men!! I was sooooo glad I watched this before I took a move in/move out job !! So the lady asked me to come in and clean a 2 bed/1 bath apt. First question I asked was “Is the power on and water in the house”? She said no. Well, I told her that I could come to check the house and if there’s enough lighting I could come early in the morning to catch the sunlight . I told her that she would have to provide water because cleaning still can be done. Wellllll... the lady said that I would have to use a flashlight because the windows were boarded up and I would have to provide water!!! I said “Ma’am , with all due respect I need electricity and water to provide cleaning services. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to assist you!” Thank you so much Mrs Angela for the great advice because I honestly feel as if this lady wanted to take advantage of me and my services . God bless 🙏🏽
People who are moving out of their homes should watch this, too, as this video will remind them of what their cleaners will expect for a move-out clean.
I enjoy cleaning move out houses because you can see the before and after, the only thing I tell them they need to have another company for the windows, only the sliding glass doors are clean. One customer took advantage of me, I clean a house and she told me her realtor will send me a check and never did, I went from dan Jose to Santa Cruz to clean than house and just for nothing, now I make sure I see a check before cleaning and do not accept a second party payment, we learn our lesson!!!!!
Angela I just wanna say a special thank you from me and my wife who are trying to run a cleaning business with two small children 😅 you have helped us more than you could ever know and we really appreciate your work!
Wow, thank you so much for this comment! This made me happy. So glad to know that my videos have been helpful. I appreciate your kind words and comment! Wishing you and your wife the best and lots of continued success!! 😊🤗
Oh Angela, I wish I had the money to move out and I wish I knew where to begin with this monumental cleaning but I do love that committed propel like you exist to teach and motivate !
Thanks for your kind words of encouragement and support. The key with cleaning is once you've cleaned an area, keep it clean. That way you don't have to do a big deep clean on it next time. 🤗
The fog comes from the outside the fridge temperature being different from the inside the fridge temperature. The good news is that once you close the door the fogging goes away. (It's a simple fix.)
My new basement tenants asked if I was interested in doing the broom clean cleaning on their house. The one thing I don't have to worry about is being paid. That's good, at least! 😂 This video is a great find! Thank you!
i also ask if the new home owner is keeping the old appliances.....i have spent some good time on an oven, fridge and dishwasher that were only getting thrown out later....ugh....got paid for it though....now i recommend they have the appliances donated if they are in working condition. and i always recommend cleaning under and behind them....so i usually ask they are removed before i get there. .....many times too i have gotten to a house and set off a security system....but the cops usually get it right away......you know......who would break in just to clean? lol.....
You have a lot of great tips. I and my wife have a cleaning company, your tips are spot on. Like you said, get the money up front. We do that with our weekly and bi weekly customers as well. I wish I could have seen your videos years ago they would have saved me and my wife a lot of headaches. LOL!
The tip that I can tell any of you potential new house cleaners is……..When you have a move out clean or a cleaning before someone moves in. Always always always charge more than a normal house cleaning. It is a tremendous amount of work to clean an empty house. Let me explain myself a little bit. There are walls to wipe down blinds to wipe down, insides of cabinets the outer cabinets you get the picture. And customers don’t understand that most of the time because they think, oh you don’t have to move furniture. I can’t tell you exactly what Angela has stated. How many move out cleans I have done and have got there and there was no water or electric. Always make sure to double check and ask that question when you’re giving the initial estimate. Another thing that happened to me and another person that works for me was we had a clean out that was just horrendous. It had sat empty for probably 10 years. It was infested with cobwebs and live spiders. I had to ensure that they did a bug bomb and treatment before we went in to clean. My employee was working all day and one of the bedrooms mind you this cleaning took us three days both of us cleaning about 12 hrs per day!!!! Anyway, like I stated my employee was in the bedroom cleaning and working all day. This house was probably from the early 1970s. So it still had carpet in the bathroom. Finally I had finished what I was cleaning so I went into the bedroom to help her and I was going to start cleaning the bathroom. I went into the bathroom and started doing my thing and then I looked over and I saw a snake coiled up in the corner by the toilet! My employee had been working in that bedroom all freaking day! I never noticed it. It wasn’t a poisonous snake but it was a 6 foot red racer!!!!!
My situation is that I have a move out clean in few days. The real estate agent asked me if I take credit cards because that’s what the owner asked her. I told her no so the real estate agent said that she will pay me when I send an invoice and the owner will reimburse the agent.
Are we talking about money? Most cleaning companies now use auto pay and the customers pay with a credit card. The processing for that is PayPal, Stripe, Zelle, Venmo, Cashapp, etc. Most cleaning companies don't even accept checks or cash anymore because checks bounce, and cash can go missing or not logged properly. Electronic payments have electronic tracking right to the banking software and QuickBooks online.
I love watching your videos very educational. I was wondering how much should I charge a real estate company in Virginia for move outs for there apt and houses. It will be an ongoing contract.
Just the other day I gotta a call for a move out clean, but the client had moved to another state when they sold the house and we only take cash. It's even on the website, and she tried to get me to take a credit card payment, but I told her sorry, we only accept cash. So she finally was able to get someone to meet us at the house to pay the cash. We have had people say I'm good for it, but you'd be taking some stranger at their word, and we were burned once before like that, so if they want the job done badly enough and at short notice, they'll find a way to get the money to you.
I think I’ve watched it three times Angela is Awsome!! Thank you thank you! You’re so to the point and thoughtful , and your approach to everything is so kind, great detail. you’re just great!
move out cleans are more difficult. you're cleaning grime and dirt that people have neglected for years.that requires scrubbing. scrubbing requires time and energy. people always assume it's easier than a regular clean. no it's not. that's why a lot of cleaners don't do move out jobs.
I just did a move out job yesterday through a company I work for. they didn't charge the customer for enough time. they charged for a standard cleaning. move outs take longer. I rather do a standard clean with furniture to dust. it was caked on grease and food particles everywhere through out the kitchen. there was stuck on paper in the cabinets and drawers as well as food particles and some grease stains on the outside of the cabinets. all jobs aren't created the same. this company don't understand that. but yeah, dusting would have required less time and no scrubbing.
I’m a Realtor “ Excellent Information” I will use this information for my Sellers to prepare for the house cleaner and protect the house cleaner on his/her payment as well as motivating the housecleaner to do the most amazing job for future business from the new owners. 😊👌🌷
I planned on hiring a cleaner when I move, but tbh my apt isn’t that dirty. I have a lot calcium in the tub 😑 I’m going to do a big deep clean after I move all my stuff out

O My God this video maybe old. But I did a move out, 2 times and they wore still moving my god. Please don't do it! But one of them tricked me when showed up.
Regarding your presentations, you are great. You have good diction and enunciation. One thing I wanted to bring to your attention. Totally constructive criticism. A lot of your sentences end with right,? And okay?. Presentations would be much more concise without these two words. I really enjoy your presentations. Excellent!!!
Take a look at this playlist of similar videos we made on move in/move out. More great info.

I'm a renter but I want to deep clean the house before i move out. Thank you for your videos
You are so welcome! You will do great cleaning. Thanks for watching. 😊
I’m trying to find video of cleaning inside refrigerator 🤔 glass shelves fog up after I clean them what do I do or use please⁉️ Thank you 😊
The fog comes from the outside the fridge temperature being different from the inside the fridge temperature. The good news is that once you close the door the fogging goes away. (It's a simple fix.)
I suggest that you regard it as deep clean and quote a higher charge at the outset. Or even check the house before you quote.
👍
What is the average cost for cleaning an average 2000 sqft house.

Hello Angela, my daughter ask me to clean her house. Should I leave the worksheet so the lord can see what I cleaned?
Yes you should. 😊
I planned on hiring a cleaner when I move, but tbh my apt isn’t that dirty. I have a lot calcium in the tub 😑 I’m going to do a big deep clean after I move all my stuff out
