Truly one of the greatest, and most underrated British bands of all time. RIP Buffin & Overend.

I saw MTH live in December 1973 9their support act was Queen). Drivin' Sister was their opener.

See them at l'Olympia, Paris, France in 1974.Mick Ronson was their new lead guitarist. It's the 2nd or 3rd concert of my life.Sure didn't know it was one of my all-time top five concerts. They were scarecrows on stage at the beginning and with their shining glam outfits they were trying to be scary. What a concert! Still listening to their uptempo stuff. Drivin' Sister is one of my fave. And I just love their P90's sound.

My all time favorite band. Saw them live in Richmond in '74 and they were awesome. Best concert I have ever seen.....yes, better than the Stones or Bowie live!

@@Michael-no6jw Hell yes. I love the Stones live but I went to watch Mott the Hoople at Hammersmith Odeon in December 1973. I attended the afternoon show. I was impressed. I am lucky the concerts were recorded and released. One of my best concerts ever.

I agree Morgan. And thank you for all the wonderful music you made while with MTH. What a great band. RIP Buffin. You were one of my favorite drummers, and I patterned a lot of your drumming style with how I play. Thanks for posting such a great song...

Perhaps you could fix the text in the description, and make it about Mott? Our drummer Buffin, who opens this song, died today. It would be a nice gesture. Thanks.

It was the Golden Age Of Rock And Roll, and I was One Of The Boys, a Whiz Kid...
Me and All The Young Dudes would drive All The Way From Memphis to play regular Saturday Gigs at a place called the Angel Of Eighth Avenue...
Pearl 'n' Roy always wanted us to play their favorite songs, like Ballad Of Mott The Hoople and Hymn For The Dudes, and we'd gladly oblige...
The Foxy Foxy girls would always be there, dancing in the front row...
I saw Sweet Jane up in the balcony wearing a sexy mini skirt...she truly is a Rock And Roll Queen...and when she bent over, I saw The Moon Upstairs...
Laugh At Me if you want, but I've always been a Sucker for short skirts...They make me want to be a "Sea Diver" if you know what I mean...
    Yeah baby...I'm Ready For Love..!

I`m a Japanese music listesr. I have a Japanese song for other country listners. What do you think about this song? For this song resembles Drivin' Sister of Mott The Hoople. By the way this song was reliesed 1979. The performer was the rock band named RC.Succesion. And the title is AMEAGARINO YOZORANI. The meaning is in English that “The Sky Just After a Rainfall”. Particularly the first half resembles Drivin' Sister. The song is this. →Ameagarino Yozorani ua-cam.com/video/HEkWqvM6tQ8/v-deo.html
I like this song and this song is popular in Japan. But I thought that I want you to know this resenmblance. Especially the listners of Mott The Hoople. There was a lot of fuss.
