Gundam Age is unique in that it tells the stories of 3 generations fighting in the same war that lasted for decades, so we get a new MC and at least 1 new Gundam for each generation. Each MC is the father of the next MC, thus, grandfather, father, son by the end of the show. This particular battle is from the 2nd generation part of the show. I don't think it was the final battle of the 2nd generation, though. The 2nd generation's AGE-2 Gundam is a transformable Gundam which design is somewhat based on Zeta Gundam. The 1st gen Gundam's design is also somewhat based on the original Gundam, and so on. The "X-Rounder" they mention is basically "Newtype" of this Gundam universe. That red masked pilot on the enemy side is the 'Char clone' of this series. While the generational concept was interesting, the story overall was rather average. But I say the 2nd generation story was the best one of the three. The studio later even made a separate compilation OVA retelling the story of the 2nd generation arc.

But really ejecting into space with a compromised space suit, even if he wasn't fatally injured. I mean if your suit is compromised, your air will be sucked out your lungs and you'll die in 30 seconds anyway. Kind of why Char never wore one. Reasoning if he takes so much damage he needs to eject he's cockpit is breached and any space suit he was wearing would probably be damaged anyways or his suit is going to explode in which case he'll never get out of the blast radius. But if you look at it, his command console is damaged and he was stabbed in the back so his whole lower left side is probably gone. This is more of a kid centric show so they are not going to show that but yeah Woolf wasn't making it. What I would say though is him having his death speech, someone should have shot down the Gundam that is just standing there not doing anything. But drama drama drama.

@ it’s so cool I love it, it’s fun it’s a good anime to just turn off your brain and enjoy it has good MS design and good character and OST, animation It does have some trouble but I like it
@WadeWadeReacts the pacing is bad you have 12 episodes to know each character and most arcs are either rushed or not fleshed out. Age has a good concept but the execution is not good. The first arc is ok and the second arc which you just posted is pretty good I won't lie but then the third arc I cant really remember because its been a decade but I didn't like his Son Kio preachs peace in naive and inappropriate times. Most of the cast is forgettable because we swap to a whole generation quick. If u like mech fights they're pretty good I won't lie just keep your expectations low who knows u might not mind the third arc. I did like Flit and Asemu story but the grandson really slowed down the momentum for me.
