I 1992 ble Halden Sparebanks filial på Låby ranet av en maskert mann med hagle. Raneren snakket svensk, men ble identifisert av kollegaer og slekninger til å være en norsk statsborger. Mannen ble senere knyttet til fire drap i Tistedal.
