    I was on Creag Mac Ranaich, a Corbett near Lochearnhead on Saturday, and I had a fantastic view of Meikle Bin from the summit. If I'd known you were there I'd have given you a wave!

      MUNROSnCORBETTS I must have passed you on the M80! It was a great walk - fabulous views, nice wee ridge with steep pathless bits. I would have filmed it but I was in a group of 15! We did Meall an t-Sealladh too. Only downside was the long walk in and out - total of over 20km. Corbetts are def as much fun as Munros.

    Good to see you back out Peter and what a beautiful hill you know well to show us, with fabulous views to infinity and one end of Scotland to the other, thanks for taking us along mate, Regards George.

      Hi George hows things mate? It is a cracking wee hill, Only a short distance from Glasgow and look at what you get. As At 20:03 i was looking at North Berwick Law a hill just at North Berwick on the Firth of Forth. As the crow flies it is 55 miles away! I have been going up there for years and i never get bored of it. Thanks George, Hope yer keeping well mate, peter.

    What a view of the cobbler Peter! Your knowledge of the mountains and hills is second to none my friend. Another long walk in this one but not for you eh! fit as a butchers dog! :) Tim

      Cheers Tim :) I must admit i was a wee bit off until i clocked The Cobbler, She stands out a mile. Yes its a nice walk, My local hills too. My Dad drove me up there in the early 80`s (81 or 82 i think) in his old battered mini. My nose was pressed to the window thinking i was in the himalayas LOL!

    Great to see you out again Peter and on your local hills, no wonder your up there loads what cracking views and yes could see the bridges at Edinburgh. I was out with Wilco on Saturday up The Cheviots and had a rare dry day, he's up North now and looks like the weathers not being nice for him. Great video. Thanks for showing us at last lol. Mick.

    Hi Peter, Once again you tube have stopped giving me notifications on yours and other peoples video's. I only notice this because I clicked on your channel earlier to see what you had been up to. Small hill walks like that can still offer a great day out and cracking views like you showed in this video. I agree with you about the windmills, they are starting to just put them everywhere and anywhere, so like you said enough is enough. Anyway I enjoyed the video and it was good to see you made it back out for a hike after all the crap weather. Atb Glenn.

      I know what you mean Glenn, I have to check other channels too. Aye the small hills really are underated at times. Sometimes even better than the 3000fters. Windfarms do have merits, But as i said we have enough in Scotland. Down near Liverpool they are out in the sea, Same as in Kent. Time to follow that lead i think. Great hear from ye again Glenn, Hope the family are keeping well mate, peter.

    Envious ... another lucky one with hills in his own backgarden. And even a nice ridgewalk there, eh? [2:05]. Anyway, good to see you out again Peter. Never mind the name of the hill ... be it Munro, Corbett or even a Hughes ... at least they are hills. Holland might be nothing for you ...
    Any time i see you zooming in on something, amazed how far your cam/lens goes ... Ben More, Stob Binnein, Ben Vorlich ... not only Natalie in front of your lense man ... you must've seen me drivin' north past Ben Ledi there this exact same morning!
    Thx for taking us along on one of those for Dutchmen lesser known hills!

      Cheers Wilco! Yeah height means little to me, A hill is a hill :) First time i was up there in about 1980-81 with my Dad, He was actually born there (Lennoxtown) Hope you have rain free days for the remainder of your holiday Wilco, Thanks for watching and take care out there, peter.

    Peter i can get a bus to Kilpatrick hills not to Carron Valley otherwise i would be going there regular. I've got as far as the bridge @5.20 lol when i was on a hammock camp with Steven. I wouldn't mind a winter camp up there , i noticed Johnnie's Dam i had a camp there. Summer's been crap but what can you do also several of my trips the forecast was for a washout and it hasn't happened until my last one.

    • @MUNROSnCORBETTS
      @MUNROSnCORBETTS  7 років тому

      Aye this must be one of the worst summers ever i think, Going to keep back some single day holidays next year just to get out. First real time up there when i was about 7 or 8 in my Dad's car, I was in awe LOL! Thought the Campsies were bigger than the Himalayas :) There is a great spot for a tent just before the summit, It is great sitting there and seeing all the lights come, Goes on for miles.
