Testing 3 of my "go-to" guitars. Alama TSR Custom, Martin OM42, and a Chinese Dread.

Theres always a reason that Martin is a holy grail of acoustic guitars. Alama at least came half close in terms of sounds. Aesthetically, I really like the Alama, stunning finish it's a handmade guitar afterall and something that we should be very proud of.

Alama guitar for me it has a clear bass sound good to the ears...both martin original and premium also are great

Alama ang the chinese copy martin is good but the OM has something on it and the spirit when u sing combined with it.

Thinner body got compressed sounds when strums hard. Its good with plucking and mellow songs

well different woods and sizes cant really compare but all 3 gave top tier sound so all goods

Martin OM42 easily. But for the price, Alama is pretty much competitive! The Chinese D45 knockoff has a stiffness that I don't like but not bad.

lama has a full bodied sound and bassy, martin has a brighter sound and well balance bass and treble

The Alama stands out for me. It plays beautifully!
The replica sounds awesome too. I wonder why they didn't just make a new brand with it, it could have been great on its own.

Body sizes are different, D45 ,OM 42 , and alama the wood is different,, they have their own sound , it’s a tool to make music it’s up to the player which one he/she likes for a particular song.

The OM42 is insanely good! Pero ganda din talaga ng Alama sir! Came across their page a few days ago, and I can’t stop watching reviews. Sir, you can achieve a good sound by using any condenser mic, then use a DAW that you are familiar with. Just remove the unnecessary bass frequencies, EQ it, compress, and just a SMALL amount of reverb. 🙂 Pero bro, I'm still on a quest in searching the "pro" sound. Medyo malayo pa. Hehehe
