Holst created one of the most brutal yet beautiful pieces of music.
❤So beautiful LA Philharmonic and Gustavo Dudamel is an awesome conductor
Awesome!!...
Very vibrant - haunting piece...
Like a huge clap of thunder!! ..
Maestro Dudamel is certainly very animated....

As a Mars player, I appreciate this fine masterpiece of music.
Maestro Dudamel is THE MAN!!!!
The genesis of Star Wars.
Relentless driving rhythm!!! Welcome Andrew Bain on French Horn from Australia to Los Angeles!
6:47 Unfiltered musical passion :D
that euphonium player is awesome
I was able to see this entire thing performed live and if you ever get the opportunity to do so do it! You’ll be satisfied beyond belief!
Holy crap what a good interpretation.
This is absolutely hypnotic. Thank you.
DADADA DA DA DA-DA-DA! DADADA DA DA DA-DA-DA! DADADA DA DA DA-DA-DA!

4:15 👏👏👏👏👏
Fantastique!!!!
The tension @ 4:15, I felt like I was being hit in the face with a sledgehammer..
That entire passage is the reason why they invented horns..

The last thing a support hears before dying
5:08 Oh no!
@Morgan Fator But a bummer when it's recorded for posterity.
The 2016 Proms : Edward Gardner and the National Youth Orchestra is my Favourite!
The loud wail of the air raid siren echoes through the city. They night sky is lit up by searchlights and exploding shells. Above you can see a squadron of German Bombers right over London.
The "woo" at the end got me! xD
That's my Mars...remember my beloved...the planets we have RULED together?🌠🔥❤🎶
Maestro Dudamel ¿algún día nos presentará algo de Haydn? Yo espero ese momento. Saludos de un admirador.
🎼🚀💙
I only just realised that this only has 22,000 views
6:27 is why you're here.
No we’re all here for 4:16
It looks as if he went on to perform the whole work, so can the rest of it be put here on UA-cam?

@ 5:08 wtf did I hear the Euphonium player mess up?
Yes, I believe you did hear correctly - the euphonium cracked the note. It happens even in the best of orchestras.
Lol yes
What's the problem lol
Could have been the one having issues with his score seconds before. Either way, happens!
Surprised not to see Loren Marsteller play Euphonium that evening. :)
ok version...........adequate ..........B+ maybe
STAR WARS
The trumpet players sound so chopped out the entire time.
Unfortunately, that's all the rage these days. Educators across the country are teaching brass players to play every single note staccato. Even whole notes.
God these suits are horrendous
😂⚘
It’s not about the suits it’s about the people whom are so very talented and should be acknowledged because of that not their clothing.
the suits are terrible haha xD
Those huge bow ties are like a throwback to the 80s
@@TheRat1 The suits matched this bloody ridiculous version. This is scientific fact.
