you said it perfectly, toss in pvt doesn't have the upper hand at any stage of the game and your are forced to stay defensive and lose the late game because mmm + ghost,viking and lib is just too cost efficient, it is beyond any logic how the 50% radius increase of lib even came up as a reasonable trade off for lib losing siege range lol just remove siege range and bring back the cost of lib to 150 gas, this unit is insane for the cost, also increase ghost supply to 3.
Woule be nice if terran was actually weaker in lategame compared to the other 2 races in general. The race is very good defensively AND offensively, if you take away some of that defensive capability they stop turtling all the time and start going agressive, giving more fun games. Turtle TvZ meta might be one of the worst ever seen, honestly about as bad as 2 stargate void.

Liberators lost 0.75 range not 2; range and area are not independent parameters. Increasing the area, increases the range. -2.0 range to center +1.25 range from center to edge = -0.75 range from liberator to edge of circle, which is the only 'range' that matters in a game
ya -75. they are going to me better vs melee units like dt, zealot, and ling bane, but they are worse at zoning disruptors off ghosts. Disruptors should counter ghosts much harder because of that combined with the aoe buff. They aren't as massable, but just 2 or 3 should be good enough to counter ghosts.

They completely nerfed disruptor damage and also outright removed the battery overcharge and replaced it with energy overcharge to encourage skill expression. But all changes that Terran received were straight buffs that takes no extra skills even catering to noobs like extra extra large Lib circle radius, damage increase to hellion blue flame, damage increase to Thor, easy one click command to heal injured supply depot during rush, and easy gas&minerals cash back by salvaging. Where's the skill expression here? Total and utter BS.
Why are the liberators still on reactor tech? It's just wild that you can lose half your army trying to kill 4 of them and it takes 30 seconds to get them back out lmfao
U can also increase protoss compensation for disruptor by allowing it to store 1 extra shot. So that It can shot 2 shots, and overtime it still needs to reload each shot which will encourage the opponent to keep pressure on protoss to they do not have the chance to load up 2 shots. Since the disruptor cant 1 shot the maraders or roaches having 2 shots is now more feasible. The currenty disruptor is unplayable unless they give it more potential dps by either lowering its cooldown or letting it store more than 1 shot
God this sounds like such a good change. Two shots at lower damage, maybe a 1-3 second delay between firing so its not too easy to stack/gives the enemy a chance to dodge. It would make the Disruptor feel worth 4 supply and still give counterplay.
Rather than 2 shots give it a 1.0 inner radius with full old damage, and a 2.0 outer radius where it falls off to 10 damage. So even if you have great splits it still does a little damage, and the AOE is very large so it punishes a big bio ball relying on medivacs.
Maybe they should change it so it can hold five balls, and each ball costs 20 minerals, and instead of having to move command the ball manually, it just fires at whatever units are in range automatically. And then they could reduce its movement speed to compensate so you need warp prisms to move them around the map. And then change the unit name to "reaver" while I finish putting on my clown makeup.
@@TheSuperappelflap Oh you don't need to put clown makeup on. The Swarm Host was clearly meant to be a SC2 version of the Lurker. If they made the Disruptor in Heart of the Swarm we might have ended up with something just like the Reaver in LotV, just like we did with the Lurker.
@@Unormalism It's never too late. The unit model and animations are in the campaign files, it would be a simple copy paste job to replace the disruptor with the reaver. If we can then also replace the other terribly designed units that were added in lotv then maybe we will have a game that's fun to play past the ten minute mark.

It's not unlikely at all that if the patch went through like this terrans would be able to design builds to counter specifically the lack of overcharge. So this is a situation where terran doesn't have refined builds and we're already in a case where there's concern but we hold, I don't think that's a great sign for the future.
@SKillousYT It looks a bit like how ZvT is played out since last few patches. As Zerg you have to play overly defensive and there are very limited options against Terran. Hence even on some maps you have to play a 60/40 split scenario to even have a chance to win. I am worried that aggression for Zerg is even more restricted with the newest changes.
Also zerg received many buffs this patch..... they need to nerf queen without getting so much compensation ... Why does protoss get nerfed with little to no compensation and zerg gets a tiny nerf with extra buffs that more than compensate? Every patch since 2023 has consistently given protoss the short end of the stick and it shows since no protoss can win or rarely win now in the highest level
This patch needs to keep its design direction but it needs to give more compensation to protoss disruptor. Also giving the collusus more health is also a slight nerf since health cannot regen... Yes its good verses EMP but we cant regen like terran can. Thats why vikings kill them so easily the longer the fight goes. Protoss cant stay in a fight very long our endurance in a fight is too low. We run out of energy and our units cant heal all the way back up....

I just love how terran has a dedicated flying unit viking.... that beats everything protoss can put in the sky.... but it has also just in case special mode... "just in case" and liberator is like dedicated ground hitting flying unit... nuking everything on the ground... buuut just in case.... it has also air to air attack.... meanwhile protoss has voidray that hits both... sucks, tempest that hits both sucks... carrier that hits both sucks.... u can say phoenix hits both with energy... kinda sucks... lets make tempest siege unit that hits ground... give it an effing siege mode where its slow af and has splash or something... and buff voidrays air to air so it becomes dedicated air to air or whatever... i feel like whatever air unit protoss builds is like... yeah meh... meanwhile terran and zerg have like wrecking ball flying units that can ruin anything
Vikings and liberators annoy me as a zerg too. Why can terran just land all the vikings and do relatively fine, while corruptors have to either spend even more resources on becoming kinda anti-ground (but not quite and they lose ability to shoot at air at all) or..... fly around peeing on buildings ig? And dont even get me started on muta/banshee comparison. I mean ye banshee doesnt shoot up but ground dps is insane and ofc it also has cloak coz fuck you.
You are right in everything. But who cares. I also would like that buttery has new skill that recover shield to full with some micro. And tempest can fire strong and slow lonĝ range charging ability with 30 sec cd. And carriers get send intercaptors back and centry get bonus air against zerg too. And mothership get passive invis again and 3 sec mass stasis against vipers so they think twice to drag it to middle of army of zerg.
Also energy overcharge should be better, instead of giving 100 energy why not let it give max energy? This is much better since battery overcharge is a much stronger ability we need more compensation for losing it. Also they should revert the immortal nerf, zerg is already stronger than protoss its not fair to nerf us when we dont win at the highest level anymore.
I tried the new patch, it's Impossible now as tempest for someone like me with low apm. I uninstalled the game this afternoon. Sad day after all.the skins and purchases to feel like my time and efforts are wasted. RIP PROT9SS

I've been playing this game casually for quite a while, and PvT has always been my worst matchup. I waited way too long for a patch to improve Protoss's position with Terran, not just on the highest level but also in Masters. But this patch did the opposite. It just reinforced Terran's ability to do an all-in, and if they fail, they can always go back to turtling. That's something other races can't rely on. It's becoming boring already. I think it's time to stop playing this game altogether. Or switch to Terran?! If you can't beat them, join them.
I thought you played so well in this game as well. Terran is just overpowered and it’s always been that way the balance council is a joke basically 6 pros balancing the game is a dumbest idea I have ever heard.
I dont want to sound offensive but playing any patch against clem would maje the game imbalance, maybe we should check anither example of how the game goes, by the way, i do agree with many things you said and i think lib radious is too much.
Starcraft has been deeply unbalanced game for several years now. Now the council has removed it's mask and is no longer even pretending that it is not their own wallets they are concerned for. I think the few protoss players on the council are not making any money from the game any (because of how imbalanced it is) and so for them making the game more exciting is a worthy goal. The terrain and zerg players on the council who actually make money from winnings will never willingly fix the balance issues with core protoss units being too weak.
I think Design Direction this patch is good but the compensation is not enough for Protoss. They should keep the design ideas but give more compensation with Disruptor like more radius or less cooldown. Since Disruptor had its DPS Potential Nerfed.... Its needs more DPS but in a new less punishing way. You can do this easily by just lowering its cooldown so it can shoot more often, each shot is less punishing for terran or zerg since the damage was nerfed but now the shots are more often to compensate. Or they can make the radius even bigger like the massive radius of the liberator. Why should the liberator be given such massive compensation but our disruptor is only given a slight compensation? Its not fair, Liberator design direction I think is also good, but they gave too much radius, reduce the Radius to 6 rather than 6.25.... I think 6 is more balanced in all match ups. Also +2 range on libs is not what we want either, its too hard to make maps with that in the game.
Of all terran units, I don t know how anyone would consider the liberator to be weak. They literally help you hold almost any position, can harass and just has insane dps.

I dont think toss should be the stardard for how the balance is done... The only weird buffs were the spine/spore ones

в планах делать гайды, но я хочу дождаться как патч выйдет/будет извесна его финальная версия, что бы можно было делать самые актуальные билды.
