@@mariusamber3237 BULLSHIT they wont localise the games out of fear of no sales and because they think only Japanese people have the brains to play the games and that racist BULLSHIT is what it is. Western gamers are NOT RETARDS thank you very much. Some of us understand these games well and can play as good as any Japanese gamer. You call them shovelware because you do doubt suck at them or they are not you kind of game. Go stick to the mainstream shit because Niche gaming is def not your best suit
Some are really playable even without English, and Japanese games are cheaper than English ones. For example, Dragon Ball Advance can be $125 for a loose copy in English, but you can get a Japanese CIB version imported for like $50+$75, shipping included. It's very light on story, so the experience is almost the same, and Google live translate helps bridge the gap. I started collecting at the worst time, so I try to save money where I can while still getting the games I want!
Looks like Japan got loads of really cool GBA games that we never got a chance to experience in the west. This happens with so many consoles. Thank God for fan translations!
So am I the only one that came for Oriental Blue? (57:54) Probably the most overlooked GBA game ever as literally NOBODY talks about it. There are some other really interesting games on here though, especially as this how I learnt that a Silent Hill GBA game exists. Should really see if these got fan English translations
I know this is an outstanding effort, and I'm glad that you made this video. It really helped me to make a pack to add to my flashcard. I'd like to also point some small corrections and notes: Jaja-kun Jr. is actually called "Jajamaru Jr.", not a big deal lol I think both Fullmetal Alchemist games are titled hagane no renkinjutsushi (japanese name), and you added each one with a variation of the name. Which is also fine.
Unfortunately GBA and DS suffered a lot in USA and Europe, because they got a lot shovelware game, unlike in Japan where the people know how to make a great game and refuse buying creep games to their kids.
i remember my favorite gba game from my childhood but i cannot remember the name. perhaps one of you can help me. it was all in japanese and you were a space instructor teaching girl pilots how to pilot their ships. you had to plan your lessons and increase their stats for the tests and you could also romance them. it has been driving me insane for years trying to find the game. pls help!
There is a game that the objective is to get 3 key to win, your opponent also have that objective, you can summon monter from cards to depend or attack. Or cards that have equipment on it, the mc is rescuing the femc from being kidnap. Help me pls
Ive been looking this game for a year now. Its about a monster where you breed it to make is Sss class i think. I just remember that it has a cool looking wolf and there is a start screen where you can see your pet. Idk if its only in my dream cause ive looked everywhere. Even in wikipedia i looked up every japanese title and i cant seem to find it. I even found my classics like rave, toukon heat (which creeps me out as a child cause i cant read jap), chocovader, shin chan, duel master 2, and mushi king. If someone knows what i am talking about please leave a comment. Thanks.
This video shows only the exclusive games that were released in Japan.
Wonderful Job I Will Use This With My Spongebob watches tv memes
Damn... Japan really had some good games back in the GBA era. I guess I could consider some of these titles as hidden gems that people missed out on.
of course people miss out when Japan hogs all the games. Racist patronising assholes

I wish I were born in Japan, USA is basically turning into a Japan as time goes through, but without the Japanese cool stuffs.
@@msirb9859 as long as you don't buy novels and jrpgs in Japanese, you can buy any Japanese game without being afraid to be happy.

japanese games are wonderful
Not all Japanese games( I dislike light novels and games who appeals to ecchi), however, most Japanese games are great and hidden gem in USA.
Thank u so much!
Beast Shooter could be so much fun if isn't the meter bar.
What an unflattering 10 seconds for Rhythm Tengoku 😂
The best part, however, is how it blends seamlessly with the music of the next game: Megaman Battle Network 4.5 Real Operation.

Apparently, the Edo period never stopped
Who knows the Japanese game where we play a guy with blue hair and his pet is a red iron eagle, well, there are fights like in Pokemon, top view
This one will be interesting lol

Not all games. Kingdom Hearts is not included.
Chain of Memories was released internationally. This is only including games that never saw the light of day outside of Japan
