Thanks for your excellent explanation on the timing of the steps! People don't realize how important it is to sync your steps and ball swing to have a consistent release! Next is to post your shot after the release, but that's for another day! I teach youth bowling, and the first thing I teach is proper step technique and timing before anything else!
Appreciate the comments. And yes, posting is a great next step I am working with some of our kids on that step now. Admittedly, I need to be better at posting myself.
Thank you for this. Ive been looking for a video that covers the approach and timing and this helps a ton. Ive been trying to figure out my game since returning to bowling almost a year ago and feel like im working on too much at once. I think going all these drills here will help me put it all together
That's great. Yes, often times we try too many things and end up doing none of them really well. Best to take 1 thing and get to where you do it naturally, and then move to the next. I would love an update on how things go as a result of these.
Thank you so much .. quality free lesson! Can’t wait to go practice this.. I’m 215 average and this has been a huge struggle I didn’t know how to fix for years and multiple lessons .. I like the break down.. I think in my lessons they try to do too much… overload and then you get to the tournament and do the same thing you always do lol.. I know reps and muscle memory but they need to be right or it’s memory in the wrong direction.. this break down clicked for me.. 🎉 made my day ty
I love to hear that. I always try to preach focusing on 1 thing at a time and not moving on until you do that thing without thinking. I do see many who are trying too many things and it's just like you said, you get to a tournament and it's either all messed up because you can't do anything just right, or you revert back to what you did before. Glad this hit the mark for you.
This is the most descriptive video of each and every step for timing I have seen so far. Explaining where the ball should be at every step is very helpful!
Nice video, key point you mentioned you was using a lighter ball. When we use a heavier ball the backswing wouldn't be as high which could affect our timing.👏👏👏.
Thanks, and yes, you are correct. I suggest doing the lighter ball at the line, not full steps, just to get used to the feeling in the wrist. Then move to heavier ball at the line, then bring in steps and work on the timing. Great points.
I've struggled to find a video that explains timing the best well Espically when explaining that stopping point indicating that it is about time to get into that second to last step! This video is by far the best explination to it so far and I think will help me out alot! Thank you!!
Yes a great video. I’m a older guy and I have been having trouble with my timing for a while 1 day ya got it and the next ya don’t so I think this will help alot. Thanks
@ well I tried what you had on the video today. I had a 202,174,180 not bad for 74 years old. It is going to be a work in progress. Thanks for the good videos keep them coming
@@fredjones9702 That is great. Yes, it's something you have to repeat and build into muscle memory. Practice makes perfect. Those are pretty good scores. Glad that it is helping!
Thanks. I would like to practice it more and have it as an option to go to if the conditions call for it. Just gotta take the time. Not terrible for a 50 year old man who rarely does it. It's a testament to understanding the mechanics of the swing. Appreciate the comment.
I wish you would have done a four step closer to camera so I could see better because I struggle so much with my timing that I muscle every time and causes me so much trouble. Also I do have a bad knee and sore hip at times
Sorry. I was afraid you wouldn't see all my steps as I go across the screen if I was any closer. This is the pitfall of not having a camera-person who can hold the camera and move it as I walk. Are you watching on your phone or your computer? If a computer, it seems to still be large enough to view. If you have a smart TV or Roku or something similar, you can also download the UA-cam app on your streaming device and watch on your TV (I do that a lot). Then it is much larger. You can also use the settings to slow down the playback speed of any video you watch on UA-cam so it may help if you watch that part of the video at 0.25 speed so you can really watch the timing and how the feet and arms link up. Let me know if that helps at all.
finally a video that explains the two handed drill timing!
I hope it helps

This is by far the best video on timing I've ever seen!!!!
I greatly appreciate hearing that. Thank you.

I appreciate hearing that. I strive to breakdown concepts in pieces that people may not have seen. I am glad it is resonating with people.
@@baldbrothersbowling I paid a bit more attention last night to the apex of the swing and when I went to start my slide and your tips really helped!

New bowler learning this is the best instructional video by far.
Thanks. Good luck on your journey.

Thank you!!!!
Great video! And you look pretty good throwing 2 handed!

Wow! This is exactly what I was looking for! Thank you and God bless you 💯🙏🏿❤️
Fantastic. I hope it helps.
This is a great tip. I use 13 pound bowlingball. Great to play with that ball. Also for two handed bowlers. Tanks for the tip. Love from Holland.
Thank you
This looks really fantastic, can't wait to get out on the lanes & practice. 😂
Thanks
You are very good 👍
Thank you
Timing timing that I think is my biggest problem thanks
My pleasure. I hope this helps.

good information, however, the music is distracting.
Yeah, unfortunately this place likes to crank it and I can't control that, but this center is extremely accommodating to me.
Kill the music so you can be clearly heard.
I can't. I ask them to turn it down if there is nobody in there, but if there are open bowlers, they like to crank the music. Out of my control.
