Here is my list of bags : 1) leather laptop bag 2) daypack ( for gym,one day trip, hike) 3) leather duffel bag (for weekend trips) 4) 30l backpack with laptop compartment ( for 2-6 days trip) 5)trolley ( cabin size ) 6) 50l rucksack 7)leather sling bag 8)men’s tote bag
My absolute everyday essential bag is a "fanny pack" or sling bag I recently got from H&M! It's small and slim enough to not attract too much attention while large enough to fit my phone, wallet, keys, and other small everyday essentials. It's basically a tiny messenger bag
I wear a suit, and carry a bag (no shoulder strap!) but I got that bag when I was in college in 1996. It's still great, still serviceable, and still works. Trust me, invest in something well made and good quality and it will totally last! I still love and use this bag, so, to answer your question, this is my go-to. Thanks for the video!

For me, the biggest dilemma has been to go the backpack route or the briefcase. My office attire is very casual but then on the days when I just tuck in my shirt and wear dress-shoes or boots, the backpack seems off (even though I have very sleek and elegant one). But the biggest problem with a briefcase is hands are not free and of course pulling the weight. Function over form wins though.
So it's been 7 months since the pandemic hit, and I've proven that my EDC bag works for both daily commute to no-commute--it's a waxed canvas messenger bag. It fits my laptop, GoPro, lights, journals, a 9mm, a fixed-blade knife, a travel coat, and a water bottle.
My fave bag is my tablet bag. It’s a leather messenger bag that is only just big enough for a small tablet (a non-pro iPad) and a few essentials. It’s sleek and stylish and holds just enough stuff for 99% of my trips out of the house.
My everyday bag is a slim double gusset pebble leather briefcase from Coach. I don’t wear a suit to work, but I always wear a tie and waistcoat. My bag seems to fit my attire at all times.
Two bags I use: 1. Diesel tote bag. Finally a tote bag for guys. 2. Not sure if it’s considered bag or not. Some days I travel so minimal that it’s takes place of my bag. I put everything in my camo leather fossil letter carrier.
I don't travel as much as I used to, but I have a roller bag for when it is required. Other than that, my daily carry is still a waxed cotton Jack Spade messenger that I've used for 10 years. I do have a Osprey Quasar nylon backpack that works for day hikes or to carry a laptop and I've considered switching to that as my daily carry. I just can't see adding the weight of leather. And who doesn't have a dopp kit? I've used one since I was a kid!
Well I personally use a small makeup bag for all my pocket necessitees, wallet, etc. And in lieu of a wallet chain, I use a black leather braid that I connect to the end of a carabiner which gets clips to my belt or lase depending on the atire.
I have great examples of all the bags you mentioned, but the one that's always with me for my everyday essentials is a Coach Rivington Belt/Crossbody bag, in leather.
I would add a sling bag to the list. I believe the major reason why a strap affects your suit is because of the weight of the bag. A sling bag is so lightweight and can't pack much, so the shoulder strap shouldn't affect your suit shoulder. Thoughts?
My go to essential bag is a bleu-de-chauffe hobo bag. Its beautiful and everywhere I go with it I get compliments. Please do a review on bleu-de-chauffe they have very nice products.
I like the backpack mayor Pete uses , kinda a roller bag you recommend near article on his go to travel stuff and his wrist watch. Great choices you offer
Hi Ashley. May i know where can i get the briefcase? I don't see it in your article nor in the description :( Appreciates if you could answer me too! Thanks!
What bag would be in the briefcase category that doesn't compromise the integrity of your packed lunch? Tilting containers can risk liquid spillage or compromise the shape of a cheeseburger.
Love your channel! For me, as the work need daily traveling, meeting people in a more formal attire, a handy pouch/clutch is essential for me to store small item like a wallet, writing instruments, airpod, small planner etc which can give me quick access instead of putting inside my backpack, looking forward if you can recommend some good pouch/clutch or any handy alternative in this situation. Thank you Ashley & Dorian!
Hello Ashley and Dorian, I like to carry my shades and my compact camera with me everywhere I go. I live in a tropical country so I don't wear a jacket anymore. My pockets are already full with my phone, wallet, keys and hand sanitizer. What can I use to bring everything with me. I'm not comfortable wearing a "man's bag" nor a sling bag. Do you have any recommendation for me? Maybe a light and compact messenger bag I can stylishly carry around?
backpacks give sweaty backs. backpack carriers are often selfish too, oblivious about whether they'll hit someone when they turn, and the bag thickness occupies almost another human space in crowded metro. Tote bags are a better choice for me
Ashley, I recently noticed a navy blazer with gold buttons at J Crew (similar to the one you’re wearing in the video). At 47, would this style of blazer be age appropriate for me? Thanks!
Great video! My favorite bag so far is a good messanger bag. I've been using one from Herschel and it's been awesome. Waterproof zippers and padded notebook department.
Wait...what? You can now use your Dopp kit for small toiletries (under 4 oz.) with your carry-on bag instead of the quart size zip-lock bag? The video seemed to go both ways. I'd appreciate some clarification. Thanks!

You can squeeze it to 3: carry-on luggage for traveling, slingshot bag, and a nice versatile backpack for the rest (work, short trip, etc.)

My Filson Ranger Backpack and Tumi rollers. They're all I need for every situation.
I'm business casual and do not carry a computer daily, I have a leather messenger bag, (Phive Rivers) for my EDC and lunch.
I've been using a garment/duffle bag. It's great when I need to bring a suit or blazer on a trip and I can also use it as a gym bag.
3d/2night travel nearly every week so the weekender is my goto..it gets soft and comfy
My two go to bags are my Ona Clifton leather backpack and my Bleu de chauffe hobo travel bag.
My LV crossbody!!

What if I wear a Suit to work and drive a motorcycle? The backpack is the only viable option?
I pass the test I have all of these🥇
Some times Dorian has the best outfits on (like that sweet jacket). Would it be possible for you to add links to what hes wearing in the description?
What boots are you wearing in the Carl Friedrik segment, Dorian?

My go to bag is the leather duffle bag.
Can a guy use a tote bag? Because Cole Haan has a really minimalistic black tote and I just wanted to see if it’s fine for a guy to have it
