  • 1. Listen to It Through an App
Romans 10:17 (ESV): "So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ."
Revelation 1:3 (NLT): "God blesses the one who reads the words of this prophecy to the church, and he blesses all who listen to its message and obey what it says, for the time is near."
    2. Play Sermons
2 Timothy 4:2 (NLT): "Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching."
Luke 8:18 (ESV): "Take care then how you hear, for to the one who has, more will be given, and from the one who has not, even what he thinks that he has will be taken away."
    3. Build Habits with Alerts & Reminders
Deuteronomy 6:6-8 (NLT): "And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders."
Psalm 119:11 (ESV): "I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you."
    4. Listen to Biblical Music
Ephesians 5:19 (NLT): "Singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves, and making music to the Lord in your hearts."
Colossians 3:16 (ESV): "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God."
    5. Remove Worldly Influence & Invest in Sound Fellowship
1 Corinthians 15:33 (NLT): "Don’t be fooled by those who say such things, for “bad company corrupts good character.”"
Hebrews 10:24-25 (ESV): "And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near."
These Scriptures provide a biblical basis for the practical steps of immersing oneself in Scripture, highlighting the importance of hearing the Word, surrounding ourselves with godly teachings and fellowship, and developing habits that keep us attuned to God's teachings. 🥰

We love listening to sermons from Voddie Baucham! He's awesome. It is great to listen to him as we're doing home and farm chores.

Casting Crowns is a wonderful music group in my opinion. They have all different types of music too, not just rock. And they’re songs are so truthful. It’s not these vague emotional songs that you hear on Christian radio.

I would strongly caution against Elevation. They are a dangerous thorn parading around as Christian truth. There are many solid resources to help in discovering the truth behind them all- but I would seriously take to prayer and scriptural study and discernment of all things Elevation. 🙏🏼 Praying alongside of you- maybe this can be a starting point to discerning through their mess: ua-cam.com/video/vyvl0YBLp6c/v-deo.htmlsi=rKzEpKunx8nw2e-Q

Brad @EveryDayOutreach here on YT has been taking the Bible and turning it into songs. He’s done many different styles of music, and , again, it’s straight scripture, and a great, easy way to memorize it so we’ve got the word of God in our hearts and minds all the time.

Something my church introduced to me is to read a proverbs a day and then praying through the psalms.
So like for the 1st of the month I'd read psalms 1, pslam 31, psalm, 61... (skipping my 30s)
And not all the psalms will always speak to me each day but at least one of them will and as I read it, I use it as a prompt to pray.

Hi heidi, I’m in the uk and one of jehovahs witnesses and also home educator, I would just like to say I really like your content and actually it is you on the you tube popping up every now and again that prompts me to immerse myself even more 😊. You are great in your approach. We don’t like Christian music either at all, it’s dreadful and you are so right in saying it’s emotionally loaded. Thank you for making these great videos. I listen to our morning worship talks through the jw app in the car or also when I am cooking, ten minutes at a time is a great time to concentrate.

Thank you for addressing "Christian music " it is always the topic that gets me the most hate in conversations with other Christians. Sovereign grace music is pretty solid from all i have heard.

Do it while you are young. It gets more difficult as we get older.
