Im sorry if i missed the weight. How heavy is the tarp without stakes? 20d right? Im trying to compare it to other ali express tarps. There is an "improved" version that the declared weight is heavier. I think they added seam tape and a inner tie point to the foot end.
I used the tarp for the whole camping season and it did great. I have had zero issues or problems and when in storm mode I stayed dry in one rain event. I have since moved on to a Z- Pack tarp to save weight. I would recommend this tarp for someone wanting to get in to tarp camping.
I read that you can put a little bit of baby powder on the sealed seams to stop them from sticking to the tarp... might be worth a try :) greetings from germany
Not yet. It has been dry on each one of the trips I have used it on. After seam sealing it I think it will be just fine once Im able to get it in the rain.
I use the Paria Breezy Mesh Bivy with the Paria 10 x 7 x 5 tapered tarp, which it works great with. The Paria Tarp is ready to go and doesn't need seam sealing. The whole system is totally waterproof, even during a severe thunderstorm It took some practice, but I've got the process of rigging it down to a science. I use my summer Klymit Static V inflatable pad with a piece of reflectix underneath during the cooler months, and that keeps me warm when I pair it with the Paria 15 F sleeping bag, However, I don't go out if the temperature, with wind chill, is forecast to below 20 F. It can be miserable backpacking up here in New England during the winter. I'm subscribed and looking forward to some vids on your Ozark Highland Trail hike. Maybe I'll take a trip down there to enjoy the warmer weather.
The winter has been really good so far. I have seen the trick with the reflective material under the pad and I need to try it. The tarp I have is lighter and a little less expensive than the Paria tarp and I did not mind seam sealing it. Thanks for the sub and come enjoy the Ozarks!!
Yes there is a tie up at the foot. However it is a little short for the Paria Breezy Mesh Bivy to extend to its tallest but it is tall enough that you have room and your feet dont touch the nettting.
Nice to see the storm mode demonstrated. Haven't seen that yet. I was wondering how to use those 2 attachment points on either side of the main line.
Glad I could help
Nice video. I love Paria products. Nice job✌️
Thank you. The real review and test will be in a couple of weeks when I take it out on the next trip on the Ozark Highland Trail.

Would love to hear an update after you use this tarp extensively. Thanks

I put some on it and it seems to help. Now Im just waiting for it to rain to see what happens when it gets washed off
Nice review! For the money, this tarp is gold. Have you take any rain with it tho?

Nice set up. How tall are you if you don't mind me asking ?
@@cyrilhaessig27 hi, if you are asking me, 1 am 5ft 7in. My sleeping pad is 6 feet and it fits in the mesh bug bivy which I believe is 7 ft.
18:05 - great timelapse!
Thanks!
Nice video thanks
Most welcome
Paria gear looks like good quality, low cost equipment. Just a real shame they don't ship to Canada.
I did not know they dont ship to Canada. Their stuff is not bad for the price. Maybe you can find some on ebay or amazon that would ship to you.
They ship to Canada 🇨🇦👍
does the tarp have a tie out inside for the foot end of the bivy?
Yes there is a tie up at the foot. However it is a little short for the Paria Breezy Mesh Bivy to extend to its tallest but it is tall enough that you have room and your feet dont touch the nettting.
Bo Bowles awesome thanks! Is this the new 15d version of the tarp?
No this is the 20D older yellowish orange one
does it sag much in rain?
Just a little. All silnylon sags when it’s wet.
