It depends on the company you work with, the system in the US is not one size fits all. Some companies pay sick time, in some cases you can use your pto etc etc

However, you can become an obituary especially if it’s racial profiling before you challenge that stop.

All what the guy is saying is not accurate. Most jobs have 40hrs paid time off (PTO) including sick leave and 40 hrs Vacation every yearly.
