Hi Riya. Sorry you had so much pain with your endoscopy. That should not happen. I am a registered nurse and have assisted with those procedures before. I've never heard of anyone complaining of pain before. Usually, here, the doctor will provide a little sedation for the procedure. You should not have to feel pain. Your Japanese bf is so handsome 😊 he has a very sweet smile 😃 I'm glad he takes good care of you and celebrates with you so you don't feel alone. Wow, four years together. That's wonderful. I too had an endoscopy Riya, and yes it was very uncomfortable because of the air they pump into you to get a better look at your esophagus with the camera and to take tissue samples. That was a huge amount of food, I hope you can get through it all. And pray that your boyfriend's mother gets better and is able to leave hospital soon. 🙏🏻

Most places will use the least required, not out of cruelty but for medical safety reasons. Plus pain tolerance differs from person to person. As a man I am a complete pussy when it comes to pain. Women meanwhile tend to have a much higher pain tolerance, period pain, back pain if they have larger breasts and of course child birth, which would probably kill most men.
Sorry but why on earth do Japanese doctor's expect you to endure painful procedures WITHOUT any sedation or pain relief? This is the second time I've heard this from a vlogger one other girl I follow had to endure a colononopsy without any pain relief either. I am hortified at the barbarity. Here in thr west tests like these wouldnt even be CONSIDERED without sedation and pain relief at the very least. There's sinply no excuse for it. The oher girl said the hospital's reasoning was because she had no family to pick her uo and bring her home after the test. Well I call BS on that. YES the sedation makes u sleepy for a few hour's after but in Ireland, if a person really has nobody to pick them up and bring them home afterwards, then their test is scheduled for a very early morning appointment, and then they are brought back to a day ward where they can rest and slleep off the drugs until afternoon or evening when they revover enough to get say, a taxi home safely. I'm disgusted at japanese doctor's about this and I strongly advise that if you need similar tests in future, TALK to your specialist and explain hkw traumatic and painful the procedure was for you. And INSIST on proper pain relief or refuse to have the procedure done without it. After all you are PAYING for these tests and you deserve the best care available. Stand up for yourself!!
They are sedated which relaxes the patient but are not put unconscious as that carries its own risks and has a much longer recovery time than being looked after at home by a friend or family member for the rest of the day. An endoscopy can be done in several ways and if air is pumped into the esophagus it is briefly uncomfortable or even painful depending on pain tolerance. Ranting and raging against an entire country because your experience differs from someone else's is a bit dramatic and egocentric. Please take a chilli pill and calm down dear.

I just had it done and I felt nothing didn’t hurt at all you had to have a bad doctor sorry you had discomfort 🙏🏻

They are but it's expensive, others have had holidays or returned temporarily for family sickness/funerals.
