Yes! Thank you!!! I bought the husky 8 piece, folding tamper, proof, torx set. It looks like a set of Allen wrenches. (T15) the tool itself is shaped like an 6 point star with a hole in the middle. I bought mine from Home Depot.
Okay I use the torxs anti-tamper socket plus a quarter inch Drive ratchet.. took off the grill and scrub that down lightly with a brass wire brush (on inside only)to get into the nooks and crannies Behind The Shield.. then I worked on the inside of the fan area excetera with Scotch-Brite .simple green and a combination of lemon juice but the Scotch-Brite was the biggest trick especially if you use yours as much as I do but I do not cook sauce in it The Source makes a mess in the fan I do everything but sauces in my machine.. Yes of course you have to buy the correct tool or socket etc.. however you definitely have to have the mechanical aptitude and be very careful I would have preferred to take the heating element out as well but I don't have enough information on that because if you can get the heating element out you can really get the fan clean so all in all it came out very clean after I was done put everything back properly and then cleaned it with lemon juice one more time and it looks a lot better you don't want to disturb too much when cleaning it
i cant believe anyone is afraid to remove that grill to clean!!!!!! its not rocket science , just buy the correct tool (as stated) and re-fit afterwards. how can anyone ever tell if its been removed and void warranty??? simple answer...... they cant
There's a lot of people you don't want messing around with stuff like this trust me that's why they do that first of all not many people know where to get the torx anti tamper sockets..lol. they probably never heard of them
I have the Ninja AF101 model and i hate it!! Despite many attempts to clean the top behind the grid to remove any visible grease it still sets of the smoke alarm when I use it and has been in the cabinet taking up space. A waste of good money, when I unknowingly bought this model.
I have the original, the dual, and the grill. NONE are remotely easy to clean...the grill especially. I would disagree that they are a waste of money though. Slight “headache” to clean, but worthy investment, IMO. /Bklyn👑
Watching a few of these "Cleaning" your PC Air Fryer has totally shown me that I will NOT be searching for a PC that offers "Air Fryer" feature. This is ABSURD. Forcing your Customers to have to not only completely disassemble and then REBUILD your Product and then in doing so will invalidate the Warranty is ABSURD. Risk of Fire; Food Poisoning or at least, Contamination & totally Unsanitary, etc. totally outweighs potential purchase. Heck. If I want some Fries I'll just stop by a McD's Drive Thru! Time has great Value - spending an entire afternoon cleaning a poorly designed Product is beyond a Waste of it !

But I read Reviews & pointing out some issues that people might not think about when purchasing (Warranty disclosure for instance), to me, is worth the time to share with others. But you're right pointing out my "absurdity". I'll take note future. :)
Thanks for the video, but would be nice if - after showing us the numbers on the bit you used - that you actually showed us the tip so we could of seen its shape.
The Instant Pot can be disassembled enough to get the assembly clean enough to satisfy a health inspector or fire marshal. Too bad the Foodi will always be a fire bomb in your kitchen.
I have just purchased one, have not used, but looking at the hassle to clean this lid I feel it is not worth the hassle after each use, especially on a new item, with the possibiklity of invalidating the warranty. So I have returned for refund.

Actually there Torx anti Tamper proof type sockets for anti tamper etc ...if u notice the little metal tip inside torx screw

This does not work for next generation air firier as the mesh guard is now part of the upper cover and cannot be detached separately

It is but will invalidate any warranty on the item.
It is safe if you use the tool specified. Always unplug first. Be careful of sharp edges.
