Adding catalyst to your melee adds 1/2 capacity. Makes it give 15 instead of 10 at max rank

So I just did this but my mod capacity stayed the same.
When you go to use a catalyst, one of the options is blank. Which means you can use a catalyst to remove the icon. You don't need to farm a whole new character.

when you change a slot to say cerulean and then to say xantec, you can then swap between these to socket types for free with out spending any extra catalysts , next to the sub module there is a button that allows you to modify any of the slots between any unlocked socket types for a given module slot , not sure if thats always been there or if it came in with a recent ish patch but at least its in there now
Good point, however I can’t see anything besides supply moisture that you’d rather have.
I'm a bit disappointed it doesnt allow you to swap the icons. Like each slot should cost a catalyst but let us interchange the icon. Or save different builds
If you match the orange slot it adds 5 total capacity so you gain 15 extra capacity if you max upgrade that module and match the slot. For a total of 85 capacity if you have already used an energy activator on that character.
I accidently mismatched it intern losing 10 overall capacity and have to get a crystalization catalyst to fix it or another bunny. So, dont mismatch the sub module slot.

@@easynow1337it is true as long as you match it it will add 5 to your capacity along with the 10 you already have.
@@easynow1337 Yes. All sub-modules (at least all the grappling ones and shock punch) are all M-slots.
The number shown is how much it raises your max capacity (maxed at 10).
Unlike other slots, by placing the matching icon on it, in this case the M, it increases that number by x1.5 (maxing out at 15 more max capacity).

Socketing the skill module is not different than all the other sockets, you can set or change symbols with a catalyst.
If you want to maximize your build you have to socket everything. The downside is changing the build could costs catalysts.
Otherwise run less modules/module levels.
You can change and remove catyls slots your not stuck with what you choose
It's crystalization, and your reference to Warframe is wrong as well, it's forma in Warframe. Catalists are the equivalent of energy activators
@@josephdefrang5976 no if you want to make a slot empty just use another cat and choose the one with no symbol , or if you want to just change it pick a symbol you dont want anymore and cat it to something you do want

I wouldn't consider modding that slot a mistake, but rather a different way to reduce the cost of transcendent mods. If you're swimming in catalysts but low on gold and kuiper, you can use 1 on that slot to halve the cost and save your resources for other things. You can still upgrade the mod later if you need more space.

This is a very valuable video. It's beyond my level in the game as I'm intentionally refraining from doing this step yet in modules. I was fortunate not to use my Catalyst until I found out all the ways I could make the module count first and then used it on my character. So I'm attempting to go slow and will avoid this wopper now in the future.
Correct me if i'm wrong, if you messed up the transcendent slot by putting a socket type, you just need to relevel it to 40 and use another catalyst to remove the socket type by choosing the blank socket type in the selection criteria. NVM saw it at @4:06. never confirmed it
So 2 things, if you did do the transcendent mod slot you can always change it back to no type with a catalyst, 2nd you absolutely want to add a type to your sub mod slot because that will give you more mod slot cap. But kyle is my boy and he's a monster

Never say "never".
While it's a (really) good notice, you got to remember that you can still do it to save on long-time investment with multiple build.
To give you an example using your own examples:
Sacrifice 4 capacity slots on the settings that uses a Rank 10 Tidal Wave or Singing Water (raising the cost from 4 to 8), but then save 2-7 on the 2 other settings that uses Supply Moisture or Water Play or Explosive Evade. Even if you use a rank 10 transcendant mod on all 3 settings, you loose 4 on the one that "loose", but win 2 on both remaining settings if they use the right type. In other words, it's like if you transferred 2x2 of your 4 capacity slot from 1 setting into the 2 others.
In other words, if you are willing to sacrifice 1 settings with a slightly lesser build, you can get 2-7 more capacity slot (depending on the transcendant mods ranks) opened on the 2 others.
I definitely questioned this as well. Glad someone tried it out because I definitely didn't wanna waste a catalyst. But u would think with the sub module if u use a catalyst it would boost the capacity of the sub. I'm scared to do it myself lmao. Good video!
I put one in the sub skill socket and it stayed green but went from 10 to 15.
Did not even realize I could apply it to that slot, thanks for the warning. I fully upgraded my coldblooded because I want my skills to feel powerful, so it only costs 5 anyway.
In Warframe you can forma a mod slot for specific profiles allowing you the option to use a different profile for a different Aura mod.
I addedd a module and instead of using more capacity it used less each time I leveled it up. Dont know if it was bugged or what 🤷 so I had used 40 capacity spaces but by the time I maxed level a module I was only using 30
I never even considered polerising the skill socket, thats just straight up dumb, it would be a save of only 2 anyways.
as you mentioned putting 1 on the sub mod slot does give 5 more capacity

U can use just a catalyst to reset the slot to whatever u want...catalyst is so easy to get at end game farm. Telling ppl not to use the transcend module slot is telling ppl to gimp their character builds

I seen someone with a transcendent mod fully enhanced on their skill mod slot. It takes up 15 slots prior to being fully enhanced, but his sais it takes up 5 slots after being fully enhanced... anyone know why?!
He does have every single other slot prestiged... Is this a perk from doing that? & no he doesn't have his skill mod slot prestiged.
Whoops! I put an R slot on Freyna's skill module, though thankfully Contagion uses it, too, so hopefully it's not going to be too catastrophic. Fortunately, Freyna's not too hard to get. Not like I burned it on an ultimate or something!
You can still use water play if you do that. So you are and you aren't stuck.

How did you get 80 Module Capacity?
I thought you could only use 1 Accelerator.
Mastery gives u 1 extra slot a level

@@reddragon2943 yes you get get mastery up by leveling weapons and descendants but you only get the xp from getting them up to level 40 for the first time
supply moisture is the only one worth using unless you are going for a specific build

Ya i made that mistake, but it looks like if you use another catalyst you can fix it, though I'm going to leave it like it is for now. I got 6 catalyst on blair going to turn him into a nuke tho farming the catalyst parts is a pain at times.
