- Office injuries happen all the time from our poor posture, sitting in chairs for long periods of time, and not taking enough breaks. This can lead to neck and back pain, headaches, and sickness. Ergonomics is important thing to understand to help prevent injuries, and making your workstation more comfortable. Having the right computer height, right head position, the correct angles of the elbows and wrists, the right chair structure and height. Thinking about ourposture can follow with these adjustments and lead to injury preventions. Proper ergonomics can help those occupational injuries and to prevent other injuries from occurring. Common occupational injuries include carpal tunnel, elbow injury, such as lateral epicondylitis, headaches, neck, strain, low back, strain, and many more. An exercise for carpal tunnel tendon gliding is explained in this video to help prevent and help restore pain free movement and further progression of carpal tunnel injuries.Ergonomics in your own vision, elbows, thighs and feet are the ways our injuries offur, and by watching this video we will discuss the most ergonomically correct ways to place yourself. Take the proper breaks, go for a walk, speak with a colleague, or just go to the washroom to freshen up are small ways to assure your body is not going to be tired out. There is no "perfect posture" therefore by doing these things, it will make a difference. In this video we give so many ways, you can help yourself. Even the slightest things such as going to the washroom, setting alarms to take a break, parking further to increase walking period, as well as taking the stairs. All these little types of rests really help with the body's ability to recover at the end of the workday, and for the next days to follow. We discuss some exercises and stretchs for those who do a lot of mousing and computer work, which helps the body to loosen up and take a pause from being all tensed up. These exercises are simple and effective for getting your tendons moving in different motions.
