Find chiptune soundfonts, then open a music sheet in musescore, in the parts menu make a part for every instrument, and in the synthetizer menu import your soundfont, export every part (don't export the whole sheet) in a folder, then repeat with various soundfonts.
After that import all the separate files you exported into FLStudio and start messing around with volume and plugins.
Be careful to choose what instruments not to export on a specific option, before exporting go part by part listening if something sounds odd or doesn't sound good enough, in that case exclude it when you export.
Yes is an unorthodox method but hey that's how I did it
