Camas Lake Backpacking - July 2024

Mike, Rob and I backpacked to Camas Lake in the Bitterroot Valley on a hot summer Friday night in July. The following morning we fished Camas Lake for a few hours, then hiked to the two lakes that are above Camas and fished them in the afternoon. Fishing was great on all three lakes. There is a ton of fish in all three of them. Most of them are around 6" in length but we did catch a few that were around 8". There is no great trail to the upper lakes so we just bushwhacked along the creek as much as possible and skirted the waterfalls. It was tough going at times but overall worth it. We then headed out Sunday. Another great trip with the boys!
