- Brian Setzer's first solo album in 7 years, 'Gotta Have The Rumble,' is available now!
smarturl.it/GottaHaveTheRumble
Produced by Julian Raymond (Glen Campbell and Cheap Trick), GOTTA HAVE THE RUMBLE contains songs, all written or co-written by Setzer, and was recorded in Minneapolis (Setzer’s adopted hometown) and Nashville. GOTTA HAVE THE RUMBLE is a red-hot album from start to finish--American music amped up to 10--with songs that are full of dynamism and bravado.
“Obviously, it’s a reference to my motorcycles and hot rods, something that hasn’t changed since I was 15 years old. I still have the same passion for going fast and adrenaline. But it’s also about my hearing problem with tinnitus--the ringing of the ear. It was pretty bad, and I realized that I couldn’t play the way I wanted to. As I recovered, standing in front of a small amplifier just didn’t cut it. The sound from my big amp makes the guitar rumble. Which is a big part of my sound. I was really despondent for a while because I thought I wouldn’t be able to do that again. So, ‘Gotta Have The Rumble’ refers to both of those things.” - Brian Setzer

I bring my son for a ride in the country every weekend. He has sever autism and he loves listening to rockabilly on the ride. This came on Pandora this week. Such a great song. Sounds so good when you’re driving.
I miss music of fast cars and good times
One of the world's best....He's highly underrated.
My fave guitarist returns w/ kickin fiery music!
Brian Setzer is as cool as the other side of the pillow.
Of which I wish I was sharing with Brian
I miss the days when music like this was played on the radio.
Brilliant use of his stylistic chops, adding a hip, but happily dark, pentatonic riffing hook... and chromatic changes... keeps my interest, love it! A song I would like to play live myself, if I had a drummer like Brians here. Excellent! What fun! Now... I need more!
Agree but I'm not sure what you mean by pentatonic riffing. The intro is an eastern type scale/note selection using E, F, G#, A, B, C and Eb (ascending) that descends with a lovely snaking pattern with same notes, but then also adding a D below that first E on the 2nd to last note at the end of the descent. He also uses the same note selection but played in a different pattern for the power chord riff that comes in afterwards, including the D. It's a very Tony Iommi like riff! (Slow it down to 75% speed and you'll see!). I love it. later on he plays the intro lick from E, then same pattern from B, then back to E again. Very middle eastern sounding. I've used these exact same notes in an introduction to a song I wrote called "Snake Charmer" many years ago!
@@gazzie12000 Sure thing (...and I expected to be corrected for my vague reference to pentatonic) glad that you offer your input. Cheers!
@@idigit07 Hey there! Cheers to you too - I'm a guitar teacher and so I worked it out and had to post the notes he used in case anyone else wanted to have a go! It's a great lick and riff!! And unusual note selection so not obvious at all.
@@gazzie12000 100%. No pentatonic riffing there at all.
If this isn't in the next James Bond, I might go ballistic.
I'm joking, but much love, Brian!
It does have that vibe. More 60's than 50's I think.
Yes the sound is James Bond and the lyrics match the movies
Flippin' sweet! Classic Setzer!! Cool Mid Century Modern Egyptian Surf guitar!!! What does that even mean? ...Just what popped into my head hearing this for the first time!
Thanks, B Setz!! You are a true Hero to me! This new stuff is spectacular! Thank you
As a bellydancer myself, I highly approve of this video!
Brian Setzer's BACK!! The greatest guitarist I know

Just P E R F E C T. No more any words!!! In Greek language : Apla T E L E I O. Den chorane alles lexeis!!!! Απλά Τ Ε Λ Ε Ι Ο. Δεν χωράνε άλλες λέξεις!!!
I dub this the theme song for Hwy 1 and Pineda Cswy in Brevard County, Florida. Because that's where all the smash ups happen, but they will never be this epic. Adore your voice, Brian - smooth as polished cream cheese.
👏👏👏👏 Genial!!!
Amei!!!! Amei!!!!! Amei!!!!!
Fantastic! Love it.
Most underrated guitarist ever….
Underrated? Brian is very famous and we'll known!!!
@@wenvqz.56 famous? Yes….but for his skill as a guitarist….no
❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Masterpiece!!!!!!
Really great song! Love the heavy power chords after the main riff. Makes me wish he would have recorded this track using his nitro burnin” era supro amp! I think it would of added a touch more gain to this already bitchin song!
reminds me the same energy from the Knife Feels Like Justice album. I can wait for my Vynil copy.
Preferred his later stuff going back to his rockabilly roots than that album.
understand your point of view and agree too. I would like see the new album looks like Sun records part 2
'Knife's' just an absolute underrated album. One of my alltime faves. And i love the stray cats, but still can listen to 'Phantom,Rocker,Slick' btw..
Lookin' forward to the new record!
👍😍👏👏👏
Setzer Quarranty 100%
😊👍🏻❣️
Buono. A quando l'album? I'mwaiting4newmusic
Awesome. Lets hope no death j a b required to see a show when he tours. Already had to sell tickets from two shows (Samantha Fish, Joe Bonamassa) since the tyranny announced last week.
El vídeo no me gusta, pero la canción me encanta! enhorabuena Brian!
Hola Brian , me gustaría escuchar 6120 boogie tocada por ti.Tiene que ser alucinante. Un abrazo.

"Cool cat"
Lives up to the Brian Setzer name better than Checkered Flag did...
Great Rock Tune & Video with that Middle Eastern Scale! Another Brian Setzer Masterpiece!
Check Out Rockabilly Tune "Tonight" on UA-cam by "Johnny O And Friends" featuring the Blazing Guitar of "Will Ray" with "Joe Sublet" on Sax!!!
It has a similar quality to Live and Let Die, yet it's not Bond film worthy. Keep in mind that I am a huge Setzer fan. Gene and Eddie is a perennial favorite.
Film Noir style!
Back to the drawing board with that one Mr.Setzer 🤔
Why
This is how you play guitar, not all that saturated over distorted shit so it hides your crappy playing. Let it breathe FFS.
Video inspired by David Lynch's films
