Thanks david. Im sorry i havent posted in a minute life has definitely gotten in the way for a couple weeks.
Cool video, i use the bolt that i unscrewed to punch out the insert, instead of the punch. Works great!
I was worried i couldnt get the bolt back out
Looking forward to the silver process
Do you know if the contact is solid silver...or silver plated
@@midwestsmelters190 I don't know for sure, but i believe they are all different. Some have it plated and some are all silver.
Nice job matt

OK 🎉
Thanks for watching
I have some 3 phase cable, but has-been in the sun for about 12 years, the outer plastic is so hard that my cable cutters will not cut it, any ideas how I can remove outer sheath to get at the wire for stripping?
You can try a grinder with a cutt off wheel.
Smash with a hammer 🔨.
What is prepared?
Prepared steel is steel thats less then 3 feet by 18 inches by 1/8" thick.
Faster with a 2 lb sledge
I guess thats one way too do it
