Great video nice stairs can't wait to see it done doing a great job thanks for sharing Matt
Thanks tim. Its a ton of work.
@midwestsmelters190 you're welcome I bet it is
Looking forward to the silver process
Do you know if the contact is solid silver...or silver plated
@@midwestsmelters190 I don't know for sure, but i believe they are all different. Some have it plated and some are all silver.
Cool video, i use the bolt that i unscrewed to punch out the insert, instead of the punch. Works great!
I was worried i couldnt get the bolt back out
Lots of copper . Lots of work , but it'll add up to a lot of copper in the future and you'll be able to make a great haul to the scrap yard .
When prices come back im definitely looking forward to it
People think the prices are crazy now wait and see if heels up Harris and tampon tim get in office we ain't seen nothing yet they still have room to completely run this country into the ground and thats thier plan people better wake up
Nice job matt
Thank you. This one was fun
Faster with a 2 lb sledge
I guess thats one way too do it
I have some 3 phase cable, but has-been in the sun for about 12 years, the outer plastic is so hard that my cable cutters will not cut it, any ideas how I can remove outer sheath to get at the wire for stripping?
You can try a grinder with a cutt off wheel.
Smash with a hammer 🔨.
OK 🎉
Thanks for watching
Great video nice chunk of copper thanks for sharing Matt
Thanks tim. Thank you for watching
You're welcome Matt
Nice vid man!
Thanks david. Im sorry i havent posted in a minute life has definitely gotten in the way for a couple weeks.
Easily? Really?
I didnt think it was too bad
1 way to do it. My yard down grade for that
Im really glad mine dont
Just take it to the power washer car wash
They may frown on that
Just power wash it
That would work
You got to clean burn wire
My yard doesnt require it
Number two copper is not too bad either$3 a pound
All copper is worth decent money
Some places are $4
Thats a great price
I'm I'm in Missouri three dollars and 30 cents a pound
Thats what im getting currently
Burning the stator from an electric motor is not the same as burning wire. There’s no environmental impact and any company that rebuilds electric motors will burn the stator and armature before pulling the wire. I don’t put my stators on a fire, I use my torch with a rosebud tip and control the flame to the sections I’m pulling out. My yard knows the difference between burnt wire and stator wire. Ask your yard if they’ll distinguish the difference.
My scrapyard does not take burned copper. It’s an environmental issue anyway!
Burnt wire is actually different then burning the stator
Awesome job 🔥🔥
Thank you!
Nice to see someone using their hands without the rubber gloves
I cant stand gloves and i catch alot of flack for not wearing them lol
👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you for watching
Did anyone else notice the black widow spider eggs on the bottom of that motor case ?
I know i didnt!!!
How you know they were black widow?
@@aaronmiller7982 that's what they look like a small cotton ball, my metal shop was full of them, had to call orkin, lol 😂
@kentuckytrapper780 ive never saw that kind of spider here. Im not saying there not here ive just not saw one. Brown recluse is pretty common
@@kentuckytrapper780 I've got them all over my property. Never noticed the egg sacks.
This is what happens when you use to long of a blade and the saw nose is away from stator and you blade dipped into the metal fins
It is a little long but its all i had on hand other then some cheap dewalt blades
Deablos are super but i know how you feel bud
@davidkirkman2223 at 30 bucks for a blade i try too use it all up
Nice job matt. And i agree way to hot to be melting anything. I havent done a melt in almost 6 months. Great job keep it up
Thanks philip. The way things have been you lose money when melting
Its a melting channel in description then why no melting video? If you are not a melting channel then change the profile pic and give something else
There is melting on here u just have too go back a few videos. Its too hot too melt anything right now.
Chill out
Please add urdu language in video caption ❤❤❤
I will try
Awesome video nice copper wire thanks for sharing Matt
Thanks for watching tim!
@@midwestsmelters190 you're welcome
Big chunk of copper! Awesome video !!!!
I cant wait to finish it thats for sure
But he spent so much effort and electricity getting it then selling it he makes almost nothing.
@xcalibertrekker6693 the return is actually pretty good and copper prices are still really high
@@midwestsmelters190 Well i'm actually glad to hear that no reason this stuff should not be recycled and you properly compensated for it. So many shady individuals and dealers out there hard to believe or trust anyone nowadays.
@xcalibertrekker6693 thats no kidding ive had to switch scrap yards before because they tried cheating me on weight grade or price. Its a shame
Some states don't buy burnt wire
Yeah i have learned that but where i live my yards do
The bigger wire run it twice lot easier to get the jacket off
It definitely helps
I like the easy removel. My yard doesn't take burnt copper.
Yeah some yards are pretty picky like that. None of them that i go too have an issue with it.
Great video and the sound of the storm was great sounding.
I enjoyed it aswell. Thank you for watching
Thanks for the video Matt and congratulations on the promotion at work. I've been thinking about getting a machine like that. Would you recommend getting one? If so what is the model of that one if you don't mind me asking.
Yes i definitely would recommend it. I dont know the model but vevor makes the same one. Shop around because the price is everywhere for the same thing. Ebay was cheapest when i got it.
@@midwestsmelters190 thanks for the info. I appreciate it.
Do you tweek or tAKE OTHEER DOPE AND DO YOU ACCEPT STOLEN WIRE AND HOW DO YOUI TELL IF IT IS STOLEN OR NOT?
I buy most of my wire from reputable scrap yards or I get it from other credible sources. And no i dont do drugs never have never will. My day job is way too dangerous for that.
What a weird question!
Good vid Matt keep them coming
Im doing my best. Thank you philip. I hope all is well
What would be cool is putting another electric motor to pull the wire through and roll it up. And for wire that is bent a lot you could run it through a pipe about 2-3 ft long before feeding it into the cutter/splicer to help straighten it. Seems you know how to acquire copper wire and can make some nice money . Interesting
I never thought about a way too coil it up
if you dont remove the corners On the acrs would they pay you less money?
Yes you have too get the steel off the ends too be clean acrs
Thunder in USA sounds exactly like one in Ukraine )))
It was a pretty good storm. We didnt get electricity back until 10 last night
Great video love the sound of rain and thunder and that's awesome that you are a cardinals fan I'm am too go card's thanks for sharing Matt
