  • Another video from my trip to Tucson / Green Valley.
    I was REALLY not expecting to find this, I didn't even know this truck existed, I figured they used one of their mini M5s on this route so man was I happy to turn into the neighborhood and almost immediately find this truck. The cylinders appear to be a bit smaller to me than the ones you'd find in an Alpha, so I'm calling this a Delta until told/proved otherwise.
    This HOA, Desert Hills II, has contracted WM to manually collect unlimited trash and recycling from its residents. Carts are available for either stream, and Waste Management Tucson is now buying Otto, so that's a definitely plus. Not really much else to say, just this was definitely a route with a view and thank you to the driver/helper for letting me film and the residents for smiling when they saw what I was doing, rather than calling the police on me as they so often do.
    Thanks for watching and please remember to leave a comment.

    the wind sure did a number on the audio, lol. good stuff, sounds rather nice for an International. Leaches are always cool too haha

    Really neat little truck. Wow that's something you don't see very often anymore (well at least for me that is) that they offer unlimited manual that's pretty cool. It's nice to see some manual here and there something different from automated collection. He didn't seem to cycle the packer much, but when he did, truck really sounded amazing. I find it kind of funny that I originally first watched this video when I was in the sauna at the gym, and at one point I thought to myself damn it's hot, almost got the feeling like I was watching the video in real life, kind of like when you watch a movie and you get so into it that you feel that you're in the video. That's what I felt, just the heat of the sauna made me feel like I was in the blistering heat of Arizona, but I doubt it wasn't even that hot when you filmed the truck anyways the high summer isn't even here yet haha
    Very cool video, nice catch of a pretty rare (in my opinion, haven't seen one of it's kind) truck. Glad they were all nice and glad to see that you took the time in filming it. Good job.

      Yeah unlimited manual is quite rare for WM in our area, but this city is full of it. Haha, it was definitely every shade of way too hot. Just because it's not summer doesn't mean it isn't hot haha might have been over or near 100. Goes well over 100 here in the summer. Glad you liked it!

    Really cool truck! This is a classic WM truck imo, not some "Think Green, Think Clean" truck. Had a really nice take off sound to it, and even blew a tiny bit of smoke here and there. Great find, really nice to see this truck!

      Yeah definitely a classic, no "happy facts" either and the way they painted the tailgate yellow is rather unique as well.

    This is so cool! I life in Tucson and in Tucson Wm is short on truck so they brought this truck out for 3 weeks! It was really fun to film! If you would like to see what it is like today here is a link to it! ua-cam.com/video/W0P7uGWPIOI/v-deo.html

    Is it normal to have garbage cans in the ground in those parts?

    • @GarbageTrucksAZ
      @GarbageTrucksAZ  10 років тому +1

      It's fairly common. All the haulers in the area and many in parts of Phoenix service the in-ground containers. They're more popular in retirement and senior communities so they don't have to drag a trash can out, just drop or drag it in. Check out my video called Parks & Sons of Sun City, really shows how the system works.
