Hi, nice house...ideas of finishes are good. Most people will only see the beauty of the house... Functionality and safety is essential ...I have a concern about the horizontal members done at the balustrades of the balconies, children will climb up and falling is quite possible. The staircase leading to the upper floor... No landing in between... Climbing 15 steps plus which look like 165mm or more to the upper floor will be tiresome everyday. A kitchen hood would be really nice at the cooker location. This will prevent staining of cabinets. Top hung window at the sliding door to the balcony could be higher to prevent accidents. Quality spaces and ergonomics is essential in design. But I feel I understand the Architect' s struggle. The typical Kenyan client focuses a lot on cost, numerous changes during design and construction, they don't want to pay fees, they hire cheap labor, cost cutting during construction. In the end they want to charge a lot of rent.
Pause the video at minute 2:20 and from minute 5:08... see the tile work.... the tile work in that rest room at 6:05... as though a 10 year old was asked to stick tiles around and about the house... also, some kitchen cabinets have no toekick and the cabinetry is poorly done. unsightly staircase ruins room ambience. Low quality finishing, subpar craftsmanship and as is typical in Kenya,, no home inspections are done prior to listing a house for sale.

These duplexes are well thought of. I really had to struggle to get a glimpse of the parking space (didn't see much though). Then you have a tendency when filming (not sure if it is only this video) not to go all the way up to the ceiling. Other than that, I enjoyed the video.
Thanks for watching Lenah... ..i usually showcase the ceiling mostly when there is some unique design to it but for this duplexes..the ceiling was just plain white...as for parking ..there's plenty of carbro paved parking on the ground floor.. it can actually fit up to about 20 cars at full capacity
