commas (,) are subject seperators and semi colons (:) are weights. You can add numerical values to the weights so the AI favors that more than something else in your prompt. With the newest version though (V4 Beta) it's not necessary to really use semi colons (:) anymore.
You can already use 'mm' to help define the compositional frame (albeit sometimes it doesn't work great). You can say 50mm and get a moderately tight shot vs saying 16mm or 14mm, which usually produces a much wider shot. The future looks super cool!! I'm sure more features to create better focus will be coming soon too.
Thanks for sharing, great video and images... I was wondering what results are when uploading your own image, and referencing to it.. I don't know how to do it yet... (haven't got midjourney yet!!) thanks again
Uploading your own images is easy (you just do it on the Discord server you're on), copy the link and place it as the first line in the prompt. That being said, it only uses certain parts of the image you've uploaded - it won't use it as a direct reference. I'll likely make a video for it shortly explaining all of that. Thanks for watching!
I wonder how long it will be until this A.I. can create good text to video. I can already see it being able to create simple cartoony animations like those done by Cyanide and Happiness. Type in a short story text prompt and out pops a simple cartoony animation!
Hey Herman! Yes, but it doesn't necessarily directly influence the image - the AI will take references from it but it will 100% not look like the photo you're using. You simply put a public url (where the image can be accessed from anywhere) and that's it. You can upload a photo to Discord, copy the URL link, and then past it in the prompt like so, '/imagine www.website.com/image.jpg landscape, colorful, etc'
It seems to me that Midjourney picks up on your most used style of output and applies it or something similar to it until you start pushing other output styles. Does anyone else notice this?
@@District7DrewGeraci thanks for the reply man, can I also ask a super noob question, are the V1, V2 etc, old updates that no longer exist or do different versions still run? I.e. I'm on the Misjourney discord and paid the subscription, am I using the latest version?
excuse me, but these improvements are simply the creators of this program just updating the A.I to get a reference from a specific image of whatever we type in? whereas before the A.I was just randomly getting a reference from anything close to what we typed in?
They are weights that give more emphasis on those particular items. You can also add numbers to increase their importance. No number is equal to a value of (1) which if they are all 1 then they 'may' be added equally to the prompts influence.
You have some awesome prompts but the video is unwatchable with the music drowning out your voice. I wanted to subscribe, but if it's hard to hear what you're saying, no need in wasting my time.
Great you share PROMPTS ::: ;)

Excellent prompts. What is the difference between using commas (,) and the double semi colons (::)?

I wonder if they will add lens vocal lengths and apertures, would be cool to see depth and bokeh within these arts

The tools of artists were updating to: keywords and prompt!
growing up I always imagined an application that could take text from book and generate full 3D animated scenes, wonder how far we are from that
We're definitely getting much closer!
I never considered this. Thanks for the thought! Consider writing stories for such a device. ^^^,)
The new concept of concept art... It's over!!!
Epic ! thx

Hi Drew, is there an possibility to use own pictures in a scene. And how can I do that

Does using "::" have a different effect from using "," to separate the words in the prompt?
It use to, but it only really works on V1-2 now. V3-4 don't really utilize it so staying with a comma works best now.

@@SmoltingWassie Yes, just do a /settings in discord, and then choose the midjourney version you'd like to use (1-3) or V4 (which is MJ Test Photo).

One day AI will create art in real-time going from our voice inputting the information.
Welcome to 2024.
What do the double colons indicate?

I am thinking to start pay this and make some money with my graphic design skills and photograph with MJ.
