With Zero Experience Insulating our Loft Floor

- With each job done we can see the end result of all our hard work getting closer. This week I get done a couple of little tasks and one big one. Insulating around the edge of the upstairs floor. With just wood separating inside from out, we need to close this up before the real Romanian winter cold hits us. The little firestove downstairs is a champ, but without the insulation finished we still lose some warmth. So its time to suit up with safety gear and crawl around on my knees a bit more. But soon, soon I won't have to get into uncomfortable positions anymore to reach the narrow corners. Soon, Next week, I can get started with the floor. Only 4 months later than I guestimated. At least we got a lot done in the mean time!

Now the whole crib looks completely different with that 2nd layer of plaster applied 👌👌!

Do you have a timeframe for finishing the house yet or are you still planning?
I really like the wood colours around the frames. Can’t believe how heavy the glass is in each panel. We don’t do double glaze here in Oz.. wish we did though., it was almost 40deg C today… so freaking hot.

Not sure yet, we take it on as it comes. A few big jobs still remain on the list, before we can start with the finishing work. It sure would be nice to be ready to chill when it gets warmer in spring.

Ouch, I know it's not funny but I can't stop thinking about my mom's incident where she had to use a splint on her little finger. The jokes that it generated lasted for years. Most of them are too saucy to repeat.😂❤
After the 10th person asking me what happened to my finger, I changed the story to Bear Attack. :))
