This is a much crisper performance than that of the New Zealand Army Band recording, which has a slower, almost-swaggering feel and that trumpet vibrato they like. Who is performing this?
Yes agreed with MusicPro1. Tempo too fast with quavers loosing definition and bounce. Bit more swagger all-the-better for me ! Conductor must have been 2nd horn player .. wanting to get to the end quick
Tempo is too fast. Alford's marches work best at MM= 96-112. The dotted rhythms are more effective at such a tempo, and so is the chord structure. Very fast, but well-played.

It cannot be the NZ Army Band, as they are all brass.
Sorry, but, I have no idea who is playing this version, but, as a former Royal Marine Musician, I can honestly say that it was not one of our Bands.
