Hey NL, you can talk to most npc including your aligned members (zombies included). This way you can tell them to stand guard, attack or other things so they're not just standing there. Love the series great work

Syringes, alcohol, traps, hell even cigarettes are useful for clearing buildings. He hasn't gotten passed floor 4-2, and as of this episode (9) he hasn't so much as used an item from his inventory in three episodes. That might be correlation mate, but it's _also_ causation.
He's always fine. He dies when he stops looking around. He has never in this entire series been in danger of losing, were he to actually open his inventory. I'm guessing you don't own the game?
When you have money you should use vending machines. If you don't need items you can use the Augmentation Booth to buy away your negative traits, or upgrade your positive ones.

Constructive feedback: You can talk to people in your army to give them specific orders. It's really fun to assemble a squad and then tell them to attack people.
Almost, i like that you can use different types of charcters. An the fact that you could unlock others. Gives this game a huge opportunity to gain followers, since it really has all you'd like. Keep up the good work.
I have been eagerly awaiting the big Zed run NL but I have to agree with Iaml3rian in emphasising how important building your character strength is on earlier floors. This is even more essential with the Zombie as by floors 4 and 5 things can get really nasty security wise. A bulletproof vest or two for you and some nice melee weapons for you and your zombo crew are the only real chance you have. Unless you wanna go super stealthy undead Snake. Cardboard boxes and glass cutters for days!

Zombie is my favourite character, here are some tips: You Special not only turns people into zombies, but also make them into your followers; Also, talk to your followers, you can give them commands to attack or stand guard, that would help with missions a lot; Try to have 5 followers before leaving the floor, because starting zombie riot is the hardest part if you are alone; You're gonna have a lot of cash, so spend it on mystery items all the time;
He really should be giving them weapons all the time as well. They're not good with fists, and he got melee+ and knucklery. Honestly, swords, axes and maybe sledges would be the only melee weapons he should be using.
11:19 might be one of my favorite nl moments because he's batted into a small building by the police after rowdy fighting and as soon as he's inside he just stops talking and calmly turns around, opens the door and leaves

NL, if you haven't already realized, red lasers always explode, and yellow lasers only trip the alarm. Try to use rocks or ranged weapons to set off/destroy red lasers.
Loving this game. Zombie is one of my top 5 favorite characters! It's a lot of fun on earlier floors. Vampire is one of my favorites. The guy that gives the side quest will trade 20 HP for $20. As a Vampire, you can very rich pretty easily! That'll be more helpful to you once you start using items and money more often.
NL: picks a character that has the trait *Fair Game* with desc saying "People will either run from you or try to kill you" but sometimes when a random NPC reacts and comes fight him he asks why some try attacking him.
If NL thinks this is fast he's never going to beat this game. Constantly skipping loot, never spending money, wont even do optional quests. Sad to say I just don't think this game is right for NL, it requires a much slower methodical playstyle.
You are so right it hurts, but you are underestimating NL, if he could lose 200 times in a row in Slay the Spire doing the same thing I think he can rush and keep dying for a solid 40 episodes.

Creating a DNA connection with an NPC makes them join your active party when zombified. Also, spend your cash on removing negative traits like Stubby FIngers, costs a lot of money but definitely worth it if you're not doing anything else with it.

Play slower NL, if you take the time on the earlier levels you can make an episode that is 30 minutes long WITHOUTH DEATHS. Still very funny vid, hope this series goes for a long time.

destroying computers is really helpful. you disable all traps fire spouts crushers lasers cameras and locked and bombed doors and all that stuff. its super useful especially with a melee only character that cant just shoot down a laser. also, endurance is your health stat
I mean, several characters are better without destroying the computers. Don't teach him bad habits. It takes him ten times as long to _unlearn_ something as it takes to learn it to begin with.
NL you're really stressing me out by being so close to those generators that are about to explode...do not underestimate those things man. What you might think will be a small explosion can just blow up an entire house/building and instantly ruin a good run.
Ryan, buddy, if you won't start stocking up on all available resources in first 4 zones, zone 5 will fuck you over every single time. If you even make it that far. You're picking up all the keys and safe combo and them just ignore them... It's like having a bunch of keys and money in Isaac but never open any doors.
If you think the zombie knocking on the door was crazy....hohoho....I saw one of my zombies go up to an armed door and succesfully disable the bomb on it....I was like "Okay....my thanks".
@@iami3rian394 Nah, unfortunately on Uptown 5-3, I messed up. It got a bit too hectic and the ooze was coming so I had just had to rush to the next floor with 12 HP :(
you know NL, I don't know if you have the patience for this, but as the game takes a bit longer to play in order to consistently win, you could take it slow and upload like a few floors at a time so they are still in the 30-40 minute range

If you punch out a computer in a building it disables all traps and opens all doors.

It's so good. Every run is a different kind of challenge run, and there's even a system to craft your own balanced characters for new play types.

in Melee you can "block" by "hitting" their incoming melee attack with your melee attack. You take reduced damage on a block.
